We have enjoyed creating a space that feels like a home-away-from-home, warm, clean, and welcoming. Our goal is for guests to feel extra cared for and at home. Enjoy exploring the charm of our local downtown, as well as many other destinations nearby while receiving five-star hospitality! The home is conveniently located near local coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore Butler/Freeport Rails to Trails (5 minutes), Moraine State Park and McConnells Mill State Park are a 20 minute drive. For those visiting college students, Slippery Rock University is a 20 minute drive and Grove City College is a 40 minute drive. The Grove City Premium Outlets are a 45 minute drive. Other nearby destinations are historic Saxonburg 15 minutes, Oakmont Country Club (home of the U.S. Open), and the famous Oakmont Bakery - easy access and 35 minutes. Lots of activities to explore in "The City of Bridges" just a short 45 minutes to Pittsburgh where you can enjoy a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game, Penguins hockey, Steelers football, or Riverhounds soccer game. Enjoy scenic views of the three rivers...the Allegheny, and Monongahela which form the Ohio river from the point or ride one of the two operating inclines the Duquesne and the Monongahela Incline, both historic funicular railways offer stunning views of the city from Mount Washington. ABOUT THE RENOVATION We spent a lot of time thoughtfully renovating this home blending modern comforts with warm vintage charm. Great detail went into preserving the original millwork, glass door knobs and hardwood floors throughout. Original kitchen cabinets were freshly painted and the original double bowl drainboard farmhouse kitchen sink was preserved and reglazed. New appliances were purchased to keep the vintage vibe. Bedroom #1 has a queen bed as well as a comfortable swivel chair and ottoman, walk-in closet w/hangers. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed as well as a desk to utilize for a workspace, closet w/hangers. Bedroom #3 offers two twin size beds, closet w/hangers.
