Forget your worries at this spacious and peaceful place in Straumsbukta, where you live close to beautiful nature. Here, you can unwind in a cosy home and find rest, whether in summer or winter, after a long day in the mountains, by the lake, or in the beautiful surroundings right outside your door. Winter offers ski slopes, the Northern Lights, moose, reindeer, winter weather and the dark hours. In summer, you can enjoy walks in the beautiful mountains, or in the woods and fields, pick berries and mushrooms in the countryside, and fish from the rocks in daylight 24 hours a day. WELCOME! The space We rent the one part of our vertical divided duplex on our farm "Fredheim". The rental part has in addition to its own balcony with covered roof, also a nice lawn on the down side. This is a lovely place to be on fine summer days. There is space for a total of 8 guests, and we can also add one or two cot(s). There are two toilets in the house – one in the main bathroom, where there is also a shower, and a separate room with a toilet and washbasin on the lower floor. Our farm consists of the semi-detached house, a barn and a double garage. Down by the water is our boathouse, and the little beach is a lovely place to walk or sit and enjoy the sea, the birds and the sun. There are fields both on the upper side and down side of the house, and in spring there may be some "smell" for a few days while the farmer who rents the land fertilizes it. We ourselves do a bit of timber felling and wood production for our own and our family's use, and guests may get to meet our two little dogs, Aiko and Albert, who we often take out for walks. Guest access Our guests have access to the entire west-facing section of our semi-detached house (closest to the barn). Here, our guests have approximately 160 spacious square metres to themselves, with no other guests. Two small storage rooms in the house are used to store equipment and paint and will be locked for guests. A wardrobe in the bedroom in the basement living room will also be unavailable for the time being, as it is used to store bedding and other items. The one part of the double garage is available for our guests if desired. When parking outdoors, the car should be parked in front of the garage door on the far left. Our guests are free to use the lawn at the bottom of the rental property for outdoor activities or relaxation. Other things to note A car is essential! Not only because we live far from Tromsø city centre and the airport, but also because there are countless fantastic places you can get to by car from Straumsbukta! We don't have an EV charging point, and as charging stations are far apart out here in the countryside, a fossil-fuel car is the safest option. Unfortunately, there is no opportunity to bring pets. This in terms of allergy sufferers. A cot (spring cot or travel cot) with duvet and cover can be loaned if young children are staying. (Free of charge, of course.) We also have a stair gate to secure the stairs, and can find a solution for securing power sockets if required. We can certainly arrange a chair at a suitable height so that young children can also sit at the table to eat, but please let us know well in advance. We have two adult bicycles and two pairs of skis available to borrow. Please let me know in advance if you would like to borrow anything.
