Nestled in the heart of the beautiful High Peak village of Chinley, this cosy and welcoming two bedroom bungalow is the perfect base for walkers, explorers, and anyone looking to slow down and enjoy life in the hills, whilst also an easy direct train ride to Manchester. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, charming local cafés, and some of the High Peak’s most loved walking routes, it’s an ideal escape while still being connected to nearby towns and cities. The space The bungalow sits in the centre of the village, offering a peaceful place to unwind after a day exploring the surrounding hills. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable, homely space designed for relaxing evenings after long countryside walks. There is also off road parking at the bungalow, making it easy for guests arriving by car. Chinley itself is a wonderfully friendly and characterful village, known for its strong community feel, scenic surroundings, and fantastic access to the outdoors. Step outside the door and you’ll find great local cafés, pubs, and village spots just moments away, making it easy to grab breakfast before a walk or enjoy a drink in the evening after a day of exploring. For those who love the outdoors, you truly are spoilt for choice. Some of the Peak District’s most rewarding walks are right on your doorstep. You can hike up the iconic Eccles Pike, where the panoramic views stretch across the Hope Valley and beyond, or explore the dramatic gritstone edges of Cracken Edge. Despite its peaceful countryside setting, Chinley is also well connected. The train station is just a one minute walk from the bungalow. From here you can travel directly into Manchester for shopping, restaurants, and nightlife, or head deeper into the Peak District to explore beautiful villages such as Edale, Hope, and Bamford, or continue on to Sheffield. We warmly welcome well behaved dogs, because we know that for many people a countryside escape wouldn’t be complete without their four legged companion. Chinley and the surrounding Peak District are a dream for dogs, with endless trails, open hills, woodland paths, and scenic viewpoints to explore together, there are countless adventures waiting right from the doorstep. After a day out on the hills, your dog can curl up and relax while you unwind in the comfort of the bungalow. Please note that while there is a lovely garden area, it is not fully enclosed, so dogs may need to be supervised when outside. As with many properties in the village, the railway line runs behind the bungalow. Trains do pass by during the day, but many guests enjoy the charm of village life and the convenience the station brings. Guest access Guests can use the entire property, garden and the drive way for parking. Please ensure you don't park on our neighbours side of the drive way.
