Eco Strawbale Retreat Natural Earth House

The house is 200 metrs away from v. clean lake that is 5km long, and deep in areas for divers, meadows, forests, storks, beavers, sauna, beautiful hikes, close to ski area, cycling, kayaking in our kayak, diving, bird watching. You’ll love this place because of it being totally natural, made of straw bales. The great kitchen with woodburning fire, heated bench, hammocks, the outdoors space, the light, the sunsets. Great for retreats, couples, solo adventurers, families, big groups, and pets. The space The house is an earthy retreat, totally unique, all hand sculpted inside. It is built out of strawbales and plastered with natural clay finishes, which were made through several long summers. It is also a great house for sensitive people with allergies as the clay walls create a very healthy environment. Guest access The whole house and garden. Other things to note Additional costs Because the house is empty in the winter months, it takes a lot of costs to make it available for just a weekend short stay. The heating, water connection, de-snowing.. etc. So, there might be additional winter costs added in the price to help us cover those expenses. OVEN and Cooking We have recently purchased a very small electric oven, only 25L capacity for baking. The oven in the woodburning stove does not work fully for baking as it does not heat up enough to bake. it can only be used for cooking on top of it, like a hob, for cooking, making soups, boiling water etc.. HEATING All cooking of the house can also be done through using gas. The hot water and heating is available using electricity for those people who do not want to tend to the fire and do not want to bother with the complexities of lighting the wood burning stove, or just want to relax in the cold winter months.. BEDS The beds are custom made with special organic EKO mattresses made of coconut fibres cotton and other natural materials. Some guests LOVE the firmness of the mattresses, other guests find them too firm. Rubbish Please separate the Rubbish from recycling materials. the bins are at the rear of the house next to the wooden shed. Safety Please note that there are no guardrails on the terrace or staircase. For this reason, the property is not suitable for children under 4 years of age. Guests with young children should carefully consider these safety features before booking.
