We offer a relaxing home-stay experience, right on the canals, in a peaceful, beautiful and safe environment, where guests share common areas with the owners. The guests have the privacy of a comfortable guest suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor. Unsurpassed views over the canals can be enjoyed from the spacious balcony with the sound of the sea in the background.... Magic! The space The photo gallery is a true reflection of what we offer, so you get what you see... The guest suite on the 1st floor consists of the following: The main bedroom has a king size bed, ceiling fan, Nespresso coffeemaker, a TV with all DSTV channels, a bar fridge, an electric kettle, a microwave, and a hairdryer. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a toilet, basin, and a spacious shower. The coffee and tea making facilities serve both bedrooms. The second - smaller - bedroom has two single beds and ceiling fan. The private bathroom consists of a toilet, basin, and a shower above of the bath. Our set-up is ideal for a couple, or maximum 4 people, or a family with maximum two children over 12. The suite is especially in demand because of its suitability of two persons travelling together, who prefer to have separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Guest access Guests are welcome to make use of the spacious patio area at the water side. Fishing can be done from the wall of the property or the jetty, and guests are welcome to use our canoe to explore the Marina and the breathtaking Kowie River. During your stay We, the owners Liz & Kevin, live on the premises and are happy to socialize. However, if you prefer to be left to your own devices, we will gladly give you the opportunity and space to do so.. Liz, who is from The Netherlands, speaks Dutch, English, Afrikaans, has a fair understanding of German with some basic knowledge of French. Kevin is born and bred in the Eastern Cape and speaks English and Afrikaans. His understanding of the Dutch language is excellent and he is also very knowledgeable about the history of this area. Other things to note Marina Magic does not offer any meals, but complimentary rusks and biscuits are available in the main bedroom of the guest suite with coffee and tea making facilities. Our typical guests spoil themselves to the various quaint coffee shops and restaurants nearby, which serve a hearty breakfast, delicious lunches, and excellent dinners at reasonable prices. A 20-minutes’ walk (or a few minutes drive) will get you to the beach and also to the center of town. It may be of interest to know that, weather permitting and depending on availability, we may offer a complimentary barge cruise through the canals and up the Kowie River. Our guests have found this an amazing experience. Unfortunately, we are affected by the national load shedding, but our UPS does provide WiFi during most of the outages, provided it is below stage 6.. PLEASE NOTE: After you have received the booking confirmation, you are requested to submit copies of ID Documents (or copies of passports) of you and the other guest(s) accompanying you. These are required by the Marina Management for security purposes and to be allowed acces to the complex on arrival. Your registration number and other details of your vehicle are also required, but these can be sent the day before arrival.
