The Crofter’s Snug offers a coastal NC500 glamping pod with panoramic Pentland Firth views — peaceful, private, 1 mile off the main route (ideal for couples, small families and dogs seeking quiet stays). Five miles from John o’ Groats, enjoy big skies, stunning scenery and dark starry nights. Full local area guide provided for guests. The space All of our snugs have a kitchen and dining area, en-suite shower room, and all bedding, towels and crockery are supplied. Outside, each snug has its own fire pit and BBQ. Logs and coals can be bought on site so you can enjoy a starlit evening outside when the Caithness breeze allows! Pod One is fully equipped with double bed, double sofa bed, ensuite shower and toilet, table, chairs, TV, radiator. The kitchen has a microwave, single hot plate, George Foreman grill, kettle, toaster and mini-fridge with freezer drawer. A small electric oven is also available by request. We supply toilet roll, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper, tinfoil, dish soap, hand soap and 2-in-1 shampoo/shower gel as well as crockery, cutlery, pans, utensils etc. All you need to bring are food supplies. Wifi is available but speeds vary depending of number of guests on site. Other things to note SOFA-BEDDING (included when 3-4 guests) but if only 2 and you'd like separate beds, we charge an extra £20 per stay. Please advise when booking and we will amend the price to reflect this extra charge and make sure the bedding is available. Thank you! PETS: If you are bringing your dog(s) we ask that you bring everything you need, ie towels, beds, bowls etc. We have a great enclosed off-lead exercise area just behind the pods and ask that dogs are kept on a lead at all times unless in the dog field.
