Description
Nestled in the sunny Carinthian countryside, our chalet is located in the idyllic village of Rattendorf, just minutes from the well-known Nassfeld ski resort and adventure area. Here, you will find tranquility, alpine charm, and a wealth of activities – in summer as well as in winter. After an active day, relax on the balcony or in the garden and let your gaze wander over the Carinthian mountains. The space On the ground floor, there is a bright living area with a cozy sitting area that invites you to read, watch TV or simply relax, a patio door leading outside to the furnished terrace, and an inviting dining area that flows seamlessly into the fully equipped kitchen. There is a separate toilet in the hallway. Upstairs are two bedrooms with comfortable double beds: one on the south side and one on the north side. Both bedrooms have a balcony with mountain views. Centrally located between the two bedrooms is a modern bathroom with a natural-light window, a spacious shower, and a second toilet. A private parking space right in front of the chalet allows for a hassle-free arrival and unloading. Location The chalet is located just a few kilometers from the Millennium Express gondola, which provides access to 110 kilometers (68 miles) of slopes, making it the largest ski area in Carinthia. The free bus stops just a few meters from the property and provides a convenient and easy ride to the Millennium Express valley station. ❄️ Winter activities – Experience Nassfeld up close You are just a few minutes away from the entrance to the Nassfeld ski area, one of Austria’s largest and sunniest ski resorts, with 110 km (68 miles) of perfectly groomed slopes, modern cable cars, a wide range of options for all skill levels, cozy lodges, and delicious cuisine. Winter highlights: Skiing & Snowboarding • 110 km of slopes • Modern lift systems and the Millennium Express as a convenient main gondola • Freeride opportunities, snow parks, and speed runs for adrenaline junkies. Tobogganing, winter hiking, and snowshoe tours • Multiple toboggan runs, including illuminated tracks for night tobogganing • Over 55 km of groomed winter hiking trails • Designated snowshoeing routes, also suitable for beginners and leisurely hikers. Ice skating • Perfectly groomed natural ice rink with a circular course on Lake Pressegger See • Europe’s largest prepared natural ice rink, with miles of circular tracks, at Lake Weissensee • Depending on the weather, there are additional ice skating options on natural and artificial ice rinks in the surrounding area. ☀️ Summer in Nassfeld – mountains, water, and boundless enjoyment of nature In Summer, the region turns into an outdoor paradise with over 600 miles of marked hiking trails and a wide range of leisure activities. Summer highlights: Hiking & Experience Nature • Extensive hiking trails in the Carnic Alps with scenic peaks such as Gartnerkofel and Rosskofel • Themed trails like the Aqua Trail for families on the Madritsche • Breathtaking gorges like the Garnitzenklamm – perfect for adventurers. Mountain biking & leisure cycling • 800 km of cycling and mountain biking trails for every skill level • Flowy trails over alpine terrain or leisurely scenic routes along the Gailtal valley. Lakes & Excursions • Lakes such as Lake Pressegger and Lake Weissensee invite you to swim, relax, and paddle. • Day trips to Italy or Slovenia – just a few kilometers away. Action & fun • “Pendolino” summer toboggan run – the longest alpine roller coaster in Carinthia • Adventure parks, climbing gardens, smuggler trails, and playgrounds on the alpine pastures. Meals If you don’t want to cook for yourself, you can dine at the neighboring Reiter inn, which is within walking distance of the chalet. Fresh baked goods can be ordered online from Bäckerei Moritz every day. The treats will simply be left outside the chalet the next morning. Electric car charging station There is a public charging station for electric cars at the neighboring Gasthof Reiter.
