The Granary

A peaceful and unique converted granary with original features, in a tiny hamlet, just a short drive from the many science and technology centres in and around the city of Cambridge. Ideally situated to access Cambridge City Centre, University of Cambridge, Anglia Ruskin University, Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Granta Park, Babraham Research Campus, Chesterford Research Park, Saffron Walden and Haverhill. The space Situated in a peaceful rural hamlet with cattle and horses for neighbours, yet only a minute from the main road into Cambridge. A 5-10 minute walk south along a footpath to the bustling, historic village of Linton with its shops (including a Co-op), the locally renowned Linton Kitchen cafe and three pubs. Alternatively, walk north along the footpath towards Hildersham and Abington and enjoy a detour to the Flourish Organic Farm Shop and Linton Kitchen coffee shop. You enter this beautiful converted granary via three steps up to the front door, which opens into a wide welcoming entrance hall. This leads directly into the bright and spacious living/dining room and kitchen. Airy and uncluttered, you will find all you need for a comfortable stay. The double and twin bedrooms are on the first floor. Accessed via a wide wooden stairs, you will need to duck your head beneath the original arched beam, that allowed farm workers over the centuries to carry sacks of grain for storage in the granary. The twin room has a shelved cupboard for your clothes, whilst the double bedroom has a large wardrobe and chest of drawers. Please note that due to the many original features of this ancient property, it is not suitable for wheelchair access of those unable to navigate the low beams on the landing and in the double bedroom.
