You will sleep like a baby here. --Exclusive location-- We are right on the heart street of Cuenca's El Centro Historic District – and only 2 block from Parque Calderón, city's main square. It is an easy stroll to the city's finest restaurants, galleries, markets, shops, museums, and the tourist attractions that Cuenca is famous for. Just a five blocks away is the famous Mercado 10 de Agosto, filled with inexpensive fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish, with lots of mouthwatering food. There is a tourist information center, iTur, just a short walk away, right on Parque Calderón Square. -- Transportation -- There are bus stops one block away in either direction form the apartment . Bus fare is only 25 cents. There is a constant stream of taxis right outside the door. This is one of the easiest places in the city to grab a taxi. Taxi fares normally run from $1.50 - $3.00 to most locations. Our rental is , within the cultural and entertainment hub of the city: coffee shops, restaurants, historic churches, art galleries and museums are all nearby. Attractions in the historic district can be reached by feet from our location. Taxi rides to other sections of the city usually cost $2.50-$3. An urban bus system is accessible two blocks away.
