House Eifelblick Double room no. 2

You will stay in the quiet district of Derichsweiler, which is surrounded by a lot of nature. From here you can start beautiful hikes immediately. There is an Italian restaurant and bakery. By bus/car you are in the city of Düren in 10 minutes. If you want to go even further, you can take the train/car (highway 10 min.) to make a trip to Cologne on the Rhine. Or to Aachen with its many thermal springs, from where it is only a small jump to Belgium and the Netherlands. The space As an individual, please note the "single/twin room in the attic" for exclusive use. Click on my profile photo, scroll down and you will see my 3 rooms. As a couple, please consider my 2nd double room in the attic. This double bed room as well as your toilet room are located on the ground floor. The room is equipped with a desk and therefore perfect for home office. The shower and all other rooms are located in the attic. On the large balcony, you are welcome to take a seat and enjoy the beautiful distant view of the Eifel. If the weather is nice, even in the morning at breakfast or at sunset in the evening. Enjoy the tranquility and watch the buzzards circling sometimes in the high air above your heads. Pure nature around you! Just go out the front door and you can start hiking. Guest access You are very welcome to stay in the kitchen with dining area as well as on the balcony in addition to your room. The bathroom is also available to you. In autumn and winter you are welcome to use the in-house sauna (€10 p. person). You are welcome to contact me on site or inquire about this in advance. Other things to note The quiet district of Derichsweiler has a bakery, an Italian restaurant and a fast food restaurant. The neighboring village of Gürzenich, 2 km, can be reached by bus and also offers a bakery and also a pharmacy and a supermarket. At the northern end of Derichsweiler is a large swimming lake, about 20 minutes walk. Right outside the front door is a beautiful hike through the forest to Laufenburg, about 7 km, where you will find a small restaurant or a little closer, 3 km, to Merode Castle. The small neighboring village of Langerwehe, 6 km, with its famous pottery museum and small shops as well as the Karlsburg in the forest, is also worth a visit. If you are traveling by bike, a beautiful bike path leads along the river Rur to the reservoir to Obermaubach, about 15 km, where you can fortify yourself in Café Flink with excellent cake for the subsequent pedal boating. If you drive in the opposite direction along the Rur, you will come to the small village of Jülich, about 25 km, which invites you to take a walk with its small town center, the Brückenkopfpark and the old citadel.
