The space It's a simple farm cottage whitewashed throughout. An ideal base from which to explore Dorset, to enjoy local walks or bike rides or cozy up and read next to the fire. Do try Oxford's Bakery in Alweston which serves good coffee in the cafe. Sherborne with its Abbey and High Street with speciality shops is ten minutes drive away. Guest access You may be sharing the garden and meadow with other guests renting the adjoining cottage so please be considerate, there is plenty of space and private spots for all. If you have a pet please keep on a lead and clean up after them, the garden is not pet-proof (or indeed child proof so do monitor little ones at all times). Its an ideal base from which to walk or go on bike rides, lots of footpaths and country lanes. Enjoy Oxford's Bakery in Alweston which has a great cafe as well as fresh bread. The Elms pub/farmhouse kitchen is only five minutes away, and in Sherborne you have a great choice of shops and eateries and a Waitrose and Sainsbury's - all only ten minutes away in this lovely market town. Why not visit the two castles in Sherborne too? Don't miss the historic Abbey and also the The Sherborne is a wonderful art gallery with good cafe and restaurant.
