Elands has one tiny general store while the surrounding area is great for hiking, bird watching and swimming in secret water holes. #turnleftattaree The space The farm house was built in 1935 by a returned soldier as part of the soldier settlement program. The cottage was originally the main residence for the whole of Tilbaroo Road and sat on 280 hectares. The farm was subdivided in the 1980's in to four parcels, with Frogmouth Farm retaining the cottage and 12 hectares of land. The house is in original condition with four primary rooms each with 4 metre high ceilings. the veranda has been enclosed under the scillion roof and a balcony added in the 1990s to create long shady decks to spend afternoons on. Guest access You can use any and all spaces on the farm, explore to your heart's desire. There are three main bedrooms in the house plus a studio in the garden for another guest or two (granny flat or teenagers retreat). Other things to note The drive to the farm is on sealed roads to Bobin. Thereafter it is a firm dirt road which is graded by the council twice a year. A standard sedan or town car will make the journey no problem. Regardless of what type of vehicle you drive, please a) do your shopping in Wingham before heading up the mountain to the farm as there are no fuel stations or supermarkets after Wingham. b) drive slowly from Bobin to the farm. The road is narrow and winding so it is recommended you travel at 40kph to give you time to negotiate with other cars who might be coming in the opposite direction. Registration Details PID-STRA-91080
