Alte Büdnerei - "Gartenappartement"
Description
On the outskirts of the town of Kühlungsborn, surrounded by lots of greenery, the Alte Büdnerei invites you to a relaxing stay. For those who prefer a quieter environment and appreciate country life... but don't want to miss out on the proximity to the beaches and a vibrant city. Other things to note "Country life means being self-reliant, and it inspires us to cultivate things, relationships and events – the selection may be smaller, but what and whom we find takes on comparatively greater and more consciously perceived significance." (M. Innes) A Büdnerei is a small farm that served as a sideline. What is special about the houses is that the living area, stable area and barn were under one roof. As a result, the simple houses are relatively large. The owners individually built feed kitchens and stable areas, so that the farms differ a little. Our Büdnerei was built in 1905, when the parish of Brunshaupten granted land under a leasehold. The land extends down to the Kattenbeck, a small stream that has its origin in the Kühlung. The Kühlung is a wooded ridge with fantastic hiking and biking trails, from which you can often see the Baltic Sea. A poplar-lined avenue leads about 100 m into the plowed land. The sculptures "Die Liegenden" by the artist Kalle Wendt from the surrounding area of Bremen greet you on the way to the avenue and symbolize: This is a place of tranquility, and you can linger here wonderfully.
