Spacious, fully renovated gîte in the peaceful French countryside of La Sauvetat-du-Dropt. The property accommodates 8–10 guests, with the option to host up to 12 people thanks to a luxury mobile home on site (optional rental). The main house offers 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The space Maison de Guillegorce is a former farmhouse converted into three houses. The largest house (208 m²) is the gîte; we live in another part of the farmhouse. Guests can enjoy: Private swimming pool 🏊‍♂️ Large field with football goals and footgolf ⚽ Play area with ping-pong table 🏓 From the property, you can start a beautiful walk through the countryside, for example to Lac de l’Escourou. 📍 Local Area The gîte is within easy reach of several charming villages and local amenities: La Sauvetat-du-Dropt (5 min) – charming village with a small grocery and a beautiful medieval bridge Eymet (10 min) – lively bastide town with restaurants, cafés, and a popular weekly market Miramont-de-Guyenne (10 min) – supermarkets and shops for everyday needs The region is known for its vineyards and wineries. Nearby wine regions include Bergerac and Duras, where you can enjoy wine tastings at local châteaux. In summer, the area comes alive with evening markets (marchés nocturnes) and village festivals, with long tables, local cuisine, music, and the relaxed atmosphere of the French countryside 🍷 Nature lovers will also find plenty to explore. From the property, you can take a scenic walk through the countryside, perfect for hiking, cycling, or a picnic by the water. Guest access Guests have full access to the gîte, the private terrace, and the garden. Other things to note 🐾 On the property, we also have two small dogs, two cats, and a few chickens, which sometimes roam freely around the grounds. The cats are not allowed in the gîte, but if doors are open, they may occasionally wander in out of curiosity. Please note that the property has not been adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Access involves steps and uneven outdoor surfaces, which may make it unsuitable for wheelchair users or guests who have difficulty walking.
