Casa Carmen is on the edge of the pretty,popular village of Alajar in the largest natural park in Andalucia, situated in the south west corner of Spain. Alajar is said to be the jewel in the Sierra de Aracena park because it is nestled under La Pena de Arias Montano a national monument on a rocky outcrop above the village dating back to the 16th century. From here there are spectacular views of the beautiful verdant countryside with cork, oak fruit and olive trees all around. The space Constructed in 2016, Casa Carmen is a spectacular, architect-designed house incorporating many local materials, creating a luxurious and elegant self-catering holiday experience. Ideal for a family or family and friends to share, the house is arranged over three floors and can accommodate up to 8/9 people. At street level there is a large open plan living area with sitting room, including wood burning fireplace, kitchen area, dining area and covered, arched, terrace with views over the open countryside. There is also a separate cloakroom with WC. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms and a spacious shared terrace providing open views to the surrounding countryside Downstairs is a second lounge area with flat screen TV. There are glass doors off to a patio and covered, arched terrace with its own pool. There are also two bedrooms with shared bathroom and a utility room with washing machine and sink. Under the arched terrace is an outside shower which doubles as a paddling pool for small children The house is equipped with the latest aero thermic heating and cooling system which provides a comfortable indoor temperature all year round. In the summer the radiators can provide air conditioning and in winter heating - all controlled thermostatically. The kitchen is equipped with all new Bosch appliances including dishwasher, fridge freezer, hob and oven, microwave, toaster, and kettle. There is also a flat screen TV, DVD player and radio, CD player which allows blue-tooth access so you can stream music or play programming from your own internet connected device The house has free WiFi access.
