Our small boutique B&B has the cozy, warm atmosphere of an inn and is located in the middle of the Groote Heide nature reserve. A well-prepared breakfast is included. The space 🏡 Spend the night at Herberg 't Rodenrijtje Herberg 't Rodenrijtje is a small, cozy boutique B&B with two spacious bedrooms, each with four comfortable beds. Ideal for those traveling together who want to enjoy peace, simplicity and comfort – whether you're staying with friends, family or as a couple. With a total of eight beds, the inn is particularly suitable for families and small groups, such as hikers or cyclists. Traveling together, enjoying together and unwinding together – exactly what an inn is meant for 🛏️A wonderful night's sleep Our bedrooms are warm and comfortable all year round thanks to the cozy underfloor heating. The high-quality Sleepy Comfort mattresses ensure a wonderful night's sleep, so you can completely unwind after an active day. And in the morning? From every room, you can step directly into the garden. Step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and peacefully enjoy the surroundings — a lovely way to start the day. 🚿A private shower Each bedroom has its own lockable shower cubicle in the shared bathroom. The cubicles are spacious and completely private, similar to individual shower cubicles at a swimming pool. This way, you can enjoy the privacy of your own shower, while the shared sinks contribute to the cozy and relaxed atmosphere of our inn. Your own shower, your own privacy – in a shared, well-maintained bathroom. 🚻Separate toilet – fresh & comfortable For added peace and comfort, the toilets in our inn are deliberately located separate from the bedrooms. The well-maintained toilet area features 2 wall-mounted toilets and 1 urinal, ideal when staying with several guests. This way, your bedroom truly remains a place to relax and unwind: fresh, quiet, and free from toilet noises or unwanted odors right next to your bed. A deliberate choice that contributes to a pleasant stay. ☕ Breakfast & togetherness Breakfast is included in the overnight price. The day starts here quietly and with care. We serve a fresh breakfast in a homey atmosphere – not a large buffet, but a warm and thoughtfully prepared moment to enjoy together. The table is beautifully set, the coffee is fragrant, and everything invites you to enjoy the morning at your leisure. Breakfast is more than just a meal: it is a moment of connection. Guests can meet each other, share experiences, or simply enjoy the silence and the space. 🔥 Common spaces The living room and dining area form the heart of the inn. With soft seating and the warmth of the wood-burning stove, this is a place where everyone feels welcome. Whether you want to sit together in a cozy atmosphere or simply relax with a book or a cup of tea. 🎶 Sound room The inn has a cozy sound room, a special place to relax, meditate, or simply slow down for a while. The sound room can accommodate up to 9 people and is comfortably furnished with lying mats, soft sheepskin blankets and pillows. Everything is ready for a relaxing moment, alone or with your group. The room can be booked exclusively for your group during your stay. Additional cost: €145 per day. Would you like to use the sound room? Please let us know via Airbnb. Payment for this optional add-on is arranged through Airbnb, based on availability. 🧘 Time for relaxation Would you like some extra time for yourself during your stay? Upon request, there are options for, among other things, a massage or a special sound session through Kompaswerk. These activities are provided by independent external providers and are not part of your stay at our inn. Availability, reservation and payment are arranged directly with the relevant provider. For those who want to relax even more, there is a masseuse in the house. Would you like to make use of this? Check out the options on our own website. 🍽️ Cozy Dining at the Inn Don't feel like going out to a restaurant for a full meal in the evening? Feel free to pick up or order something delicious from one of the nearby restaurants and enjoy it in our inn. Take a seat at the table — we'll provide the dishes, cutlery and a nice place to eat together. This way, you combine the convenience of takeout with the relaxed atmosphere of home. ☀️ In the summer, you can use the BBQ When the weather is nice, we are happy to make our BBQ available. Pick up your favorite meat, fish or vegetables yourself and enjoy a convivial BBQ evening together in the garden. Our BBQ area is currently not covered, so barbecuing depends on the weather. Is the Belgian weather not cooperating for a change? Then, of course, you can simply enjoy a nice meal together indoors. 🔑 Privacy & access When you book the entire inn, both guest rooms and the common guest areas are for your group during your stay. We live in the farmhouse next to the inn ourselves. The inn is the former barn and forms a separate guest house, so that you can fully enjoy your own space and privacy. Good to know: Occasionally, we may briefly pass through a common area of the inn to reach our office. Heidy from Kompaswerk can also go to her studio through the inn. This is only a brief passage through. Of course, we take your peace and privacy into account as much as possible. Guest access 🔑 Guest access When you stay with us, we look forward to welcoming you into a warm and homely atmosphere. If you book one room, you will have access to your own bedroom and the shared areas of the inn: the living and dining room, the shower room and the toilets. If you book the entire inn, you will enjoy complete peace and privacy and have exclusive access to both bedrooms and all common areas. The garden and terrace are also freely accessible. It's a great place to sit outside together, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings. The kitchen is a professional kitchen and therefore not freely accessible for full use. Limited use is possible in consultation. In any case, the microwave and the filtered drinking water may be used. For example, are you getting something nice to eat, like takeout? Then, used plates and cutlery can simply be placed in the pass-through window – we will make sure everything ends up in the dishwasher. In addition, there is an honesty bar available: our Turf & Toast bar, where you can enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. You can also use the Nespresso machine and kettle for coffee and tea outside of breakfast times. We use organic tea, organic coffee, organic beer (Budels Bier), and organic wine.
