Guests will have exclusive access to the entire flat for the duration of their stay, but please note that the garden is not available for guests to use. Other things to note Kingbur Mill takes its name from Kingsley Burton, the man who built it. An innovative man, Kingsley moved his business from the original mill on the outskirts of Audlem, taking advantage of the growing canal network as the future of transport, and early photos show the loading gantry that delivered his goods straight onto the canal boats below. Locals gave the building the nickname "Kingbur Mill" and business letterhead shows that he embraced this.  Sadly for Kingsley, canal transport wasn't the safe bet that he'd hoped and the mill closed down in 1970. It became a canal shop and workshop in 1975, under the name Audlem Mill, with the top floor refitted as living accommodation. As a nod to Kingsley's vision of the mill's future potential, we're reverting to its earlier name and are delighted to welcome our guests to enjoy its unique location above the wharf.
