The Herdsman’s Bothy

The Herdsman’s bothy really brings the outdoors in with panoramic views across the beautiful Aberdeenshire coast. This cosy, self catering, bespoke bothy is the perfect base to explore the area. Within walking distance of the bothy you will find the Newburgh seal colony, beautiful beaches, nature reserves and a golf course. The space The Herdsman’s bothy is truly made for relaxation. You can enjoy panoramic views across the estuary from the floor to ceiling window. The bothy sleeps up to four with a super king sized mattress in our gorgeous mezzanine bunk area. There is also a sofa bed that makes a small double in the living area. A small kitchenette is equipped with all you’ll need including a fridge, countertop electric hob, sink, cutlery, dishes and glass wear. There is also outdoor table and chairs to enjoy a drink and dinner on the private outdoor entrance deck. The bothy also has a shower room with electric shower, toilet and wash basin. Whether it’s waking up to a gorgeous sunrise over the Aberdeenshire coast from the mezzanine bunk or relaxing at the end of a busy day exploring the area with a glass of wine and a good book we hope the Herdsman’s bothy provides a relaxing environment.
