The space Volcano Cottage is a cozy all-year cabin located close to all of the best attractions in South Iceland. Located only one hour from Reykjavik, the cabin is an ideal base to tour the must-see Golden Circle (only a 45 min drive to Geysir), the black sands of Vik (approx. one hour drive) and even to Jokulsarlon glacial lagoon (3 hours). The ferry to the beautiful Westman Islands is only 30 minutes away. For even shorter excursions, you can visit the captivating waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss, and the quaint town of Hvolsvollur with a supermarket, swimming pool and other basic amenities, is just minutes away. There‘s no doubt about it, this is a great location for you to explore our beautiful Icelandic nature. The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with a single bed, as well as an open loft space with two single beds, that overlook the downstairs. There is one bathroom that is equipped with a shower and the cabin is heated all year round with central heating from the geothermal energy that is so abundant in Iceland. The kitchen is well equipped with a small refrigerator, stove and oven for self-cooking and all of the necessary utensils. The kitchen, dining and living rooms are together in an open-plan space with lovely views all around. The cabin also has a washing machine and bed linens and towels are included. Please note the stairs to the loft are quite steep so perhaps not ideal for small children or people with impaired mobility. 3 night minimum stay is preferred. Registration Details HG-00010049
