The space Petal & Pine Homestay offers a serene and inviting getaway designed for those looking to disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature. Tucked away amidst lush greenery and shaded by tall pines, our homestay offers a perfect blend of cozy, modern comfort and earthy charm. We also have large balconies with direct view of the entire Kalimpong town and behind it the highest peak of India - The majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga. Start your mornings with the sound of birdsong and a hot cup of tea on the porch, and end your evenings stargazing in the crisp, fresh air. The Rooms (with attached bathrooms): We offer four thoughtfully designed private rooms. Every room comes outfitted with plush bedding, ample natural light, and quiet spaces to relax and attached bathrooms: The Cedar, The Willow, The Cherry Blossom and The Magnolia Food & Farm Experience: One of the highlights of staying at Petal & Pine is the connection to the land. As an avid organic farmer and passionate home cook, I love sharing the bounty of our garden with guests. Farm-to-Table Meals: Wake up to a wholesome breakfast, or request a traditional, home-cooked dinner prepared with fresh, seasonal, organic ingredients harvested right from our backyard. The Garden: Guests are welcome to stroll through our organic garden, learn about what's currently in season, and enjoy the sights and smells of fresh herbs and produce. Guest access Make yourself at home! During your stay, you will have complete, private access to your booked room and its amenities. You are also warmly invited to enjoy our shared spaces, which include: The cozy communal lounge and indoor dining area. The outdoor seating areas and porch—perfect for morning tea. The organic garden and farm area (feel free to walk around, ask questions, and see what's currently growing!). Free, secure parking right on the property for your personal or rented vehicle. Local Sightseeing & Day Trips: Our homestay in Pabung is the perfect starting point to explore the untouched, offbeat beauty of the Kalimpong hills. Whether you want to take a short village walk or embark on a day trip, here are some incredible places to visit: Neora Valley National Park: This pristine national park is a nature lover's paradise, offering incredible biodiversity and dense, virgin forests right in our backyard. Perfect for birdwatching and gentle forest treks. Home to rare flora and fauna, including the elusive red panda. Charkhole View Point: Just a short, scenic walk or drive from our homestay, Charkhole offers some of the most spectacular mountain vistas in the region. Provides panoramic, uninterrupted views of the snow-capped Kanchenjunga range. Features an absolutely spectacular sunrise experience. Panbu Dara View Point: A fantastic elevated spot offering sweeping 360-degree views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape. Offers breathtaking sights of both the mountain peaks and the winding Teesta River below. An ideal spot for landscape photography and watching the sunset. Lolegaon: Famous for its thrilling "Canopy Walk" across a wooden hanging bridge suspended in the forest. Surrounded by deep, atmospheric cypress and pine forests. Lava: A charming, mist-covered hill station that serves as a gateway to the broader Neora Valley region. Features the beautiful, colorful, and culturally rich Lava Monastery. A great spot for experiencing deep pine forests and picking up local handicrafts. Kolakham: A picturesque, remote community perched on the edges of the Neora Valley, offering a true sense of Himalayan seclusion. Encompassed by lush greenery and offers a majestic view of the world's third-highest peak. Changey Waterfall: Serves as the starting point to visit the stunning Changey Waterfall, which is accessible via a short walking trail and features multiple viewing decks. Other things to note For meals we charge ₹1000 per head per day which includes Breakfast, Lunch, Tea and Dinner in both options (Veg & Non-Veg). Eco-Conscious Living: Because we operate an organic farm and deeply respect our natural surroundings, we encourage guests to be mindful of their water and energy usage, and we provide bins for composting and recycling. Farm-to-Table Dining: If you would like to enjoy our home-cooked meals featuring fresh produce from the garden, please let us know at least a day in advance so we can harvest and prepare! Nature's Soundtrack: Being surrounded by trees and greenery means you might encounter some friendly local wildlife, birds, and insects. It is part of the authentic nature retreat experience! Connectivity: We offer Wi-Fi so you can stay connected, but please keep in mind that being tucked away in nature sometimes means cellular network signals can occasionally fluctuate. Packing Tips: Since I highly recommend checking out the local hiking trails, don't forget to pack a good pair of walking shoes and a light jacket for the cooler evenings!
