Welcome to Ourtalhof – Valley View Farmhouse Retreat. Built in 1792, with this section added in 1865, the farmhouse keeps its authentic character. The first-floor apartment offers beautiful views over the Our valley and a calm, quiet atmosphere. As part of the historic charm, ceilings are a bit low — guests taller than 1.90 m may feel more comfortable in the ground-floor flat. The space The upper apartment at Ourtalhof is a cozy 50 sqm farmhouse flat with beautiful views over the Our valley. Access is via a wooden exterior staircase, leading to a peaceful space under the old roof of the house. Like the rest of the farmhouse, the apartment reflects the character of a historic countryside home. Thick walls, natural materials and quiet surroundings create a calm atmosphere — a place to slow down and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the valley. Please note that, as part of the historic charm of the house, the ceilings are relatively low in some areas. Guests taller than 1.90 m may feel more comfortable in the ground-floor apartment. Ourtalhof sits on a dead-end road with virtually no traffic, making it a wonderfully quiet place. The Our river flows nearby and its gentle sound is often present. A short 2-minute walk across the field brings you directly to the river, a beautiful spot to relax or cool off during summer. Nature lovers will feel right at home here. The RAVeL cycling path runs directly past the property, making it perfect for cyclists. We offer safe bike parking in a lockable shed, and the hiking opportunities in the area are exceptional. The village of Burg-Reuland (1.5 km) offers a bakery with simple meals and several restaurants. There is plenty of parking available on the property. We are new hosts and are still shaping Ourtalhof into the place we imagine it to become. We truly appreciate guests who enjoy the charm of an old farmhouse and are happy to grow with us during these early stages. Ourtalhof is ideal for couples looking for a quiet escape into nature. Guest access Guests have a private entrance to the apartment and can access the space independently via a keypad entry system, allowing flexible arrival times. The apartment is reached via a wooden exterior staircase leading to the upper floor. Guests are welcome to relax in parts of the surrounding garden and walk around the property to enjoy the peaceful countryside setting. We live next door on the property, so one of us is usually around if you need anything during your stay. At the same time, we fully respect your privacy. From time to time there may also be horses on the grounds, so we kindly ask guests to be respectful of the animals and the space. Parking is available directly on the property, and cyclists can safely store their bikes in our lockable bike shed.
