A lovely historic country town with cafés, bakeries, pubs, and local shops. It’s a great place to grab a meal or pick up supplies. * Goulburn – around 35–40 minutes away. Australia’s first inland city, offering supermarkets, restaurants, galleries, and attractions such as the famous Big Merino. * Laggan – a small historic village nearby known for its heritage buildings and classic country atmosphere. The surrounding region is perfect for scenic drives, visiting country pubs, exploring small towns, and enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Southern Tablelands. Or, simply enjoy slowing down, taking in the fresh country air, and experiencing the peaceful pace of rural life. Guest access Guests have full access to the cottage and surrounding paddocks (as applicable). Please close all gates that you open! Other things to note Ashford Cottage is located on a peaceful rural property in Roslyn, so you may encounter local wildlife during your stay. It’s common to see animals such as birds, kangaroos, wombats, insects, and other native species around the grounds, especially in the early morning or evening. Please be mindful when walking around the property, particularly at night, and avoid feeding or approaching wildlife. As the property is in a rural setting, mobile reception and internet speeds may vary depending on your provider. For the safety and security of the property, there are external security cameras installed around the outside areas of the house. These cameras monitor outdoor spaces only (such as entrances and driveway) and do not monitor any indoor areas or private guest spaces. There is a firepit available for guests to enjoy.
