Summer in the soldier's cottage Plankegap

Olives, summer cottage and history at the same time. Landing at Soldattorpet Plankegap is a very special experience that we are happy to share with more people. We love this place on earth and let the small and simple life decide when we are here. We hope you will find it charming and cozy, although it is also simple as in Spartan. But for die-hard romantics, for families who want to detox from screens, or for those who are just looking for peace and quiet and closeness to nature, then we dare say that this is absolutely perfect. The space Plank gap is the soldier that we have managed to trace back to, at least the mid-1800s. It is with its two chambers, with the large classic brick in the middle, equipped with a kitchen area in one and a sleeping area in the other. In the kitchen there is a wood stove and in the sleeping area there is a wood-burning stove. Both of course two can be burned in - even if in the summer it is not really needed. But cozy it is! There is no electricity - and also no drawn water in the cottage. Here you enjoy when the sun rises and sets, of candles, kerosene lamps and the occasional solar cell loop. Water for coffee, dishes, and showering is pumped up 200 liters at a time from a drilled well nearby, using a water pump started with a gasoline generator. Toilet is an outdoor toilet of course. Here we cook pretty much all food outside on the stovetop/Muurikan during the summer. However, there is also a gas kitchen with two burners inside. How do you handle the refrigerations are you looking into? There's fridge - it's on gas and it works very well. It's not that big, but you learn to plan and combine meals with pantry, preserves, and what forest and lake offer. Guest access You will experience a very special location for this cottage - with the forest in the back, open fields in front, and a large garden to find your favorite place in. Here you can be completely at peace and just enjoy! We go here all year round, but it is between May-September that it is really at its most wonderful. The peonies that bloom, the many hours of sunshine and the nice sandy beaches and cliffs that you can cycle to in about 15 minutes. The cottage is located on a small forest property with a barn, pigsty and a storage room. There are a lot of projects and things going on here, so I would like to have some peace and quiet. There is also nothing you will need during your stay. You will of course also notice that there is an upper floor in the cabin, but it is unfurnished and no one, not even ourselves, is on it. It will grow under the road. But here we do not recommend going up. Other things to note Please note that all beds are in the bedroom. There is a large 180-wide bed as well as a bunk bed with 2 90 beds. One tip is to bring a power bank to charge electronics if you want it. Firewood will be refilled in the back to use.
