Discover your perfect getaway at The Cornstore, a beautifully presented 2-bedroom cottage nestled in the peaceful Staffordshire countryside, less than 20 minutes from Alton Towers and the stunning landscapes of Peak District National Park. This cottage sleeps up to 5 guests and has shared access to an adjoining play barn, making it ideal for families and weekend escapes. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen and open-plan living and dining area — everything you need for a relaxing stay. The space When you step inside the cottage, and you’ll find comfortable furnishing that blend rustic character with modern comfort. The heart of the home is the open-plan living and dining area — perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. Sink into the comfortable seating after a day exploring, watch your favourite shows on the TV, or gather around the dining table for an evening meal. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, whether you’re preparing a hearty breakfast before heading to the nearby Peak District National Park or enjoying a cosy dinner in. With ample counter space and modern appliances, including a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, and full size fridge-freezer, it’s perfectly set up for both quick bites and home-cooked feasts. The two bedrooms are designed with comfort in mind, offering a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. The first bedroom features a double bed and plentiful clothing storage, and the second bedroom contains a triple bunk bed. The cottage has a bright bathroom with shower. After a day of exploring, you can unwind on the patio outside the cottages. Please note that the benches are not left out over the winter, and therefore are not pictured. For a little friendly competition, the indoor entertainment area within the adjacent play barn adds a unique touch —providing fun for all ages, whatever the weather. Challenge your group to a game of pool, table tennis, air hockey, and more! This space is shared with the other two cottages, and contains a play area for small children, as well as books and board games. Between the play barn and the many local attractions Staffordshire has to offer, these cottages are ideal for keeping the whole family entertained! Guest access Free parking for 1 car per cottage The play barn is shared between the three cottages on site. If you are traveling in a larger group, you may wish to book multiple cottages (the Hereford, The Cornstore, and The Dairy are all available for bookings). Please note that Birchenfields is no longer a working farm. Darts are not provided in the play barn, but please feel free to bring your own! Other things to note Birchenfield Farm Holiday Cottages are close to Alton Towers and a 20 minute drive from the Peak District National Park. The cottages are in a great location just outside the village of Dilhorne, on the edge of the Staffordshire Peak District and the beautiful Churnet Valley – ideal for walkers and cyclists. The amenities of the historic market town of Cheadle (market day is Friday) are just a couple miles away.
