Description
Suito Bettaku was built in 1922 as a retirement villa for the second-generation owners of Kuretake Shuzo, a sake brewery founded in 1870. Surrounded by exquisite sliding door paintings, guests can enjoy the unique sensation of staying inside a work of art. To ensure the preservation of this cultural property, we do not accommodate guests under the age of 19, nor groups consisting solely of individuals under the age of 20. The space This single-story residence is a masterpiece of Japanese cypress (hinoki) construction, built with the finest luxuries of its time. The interior features 31 exquisite paintings across 23 sliding doors, depicting tigers, poultry, koi fish, landscapes, and traditional calligraphy. Facing the river with a view of the mountains, the space offers a profound sense of openness. From the engawa (veranda), you can enjoy the changing light of the day while overlooking our private garden, the Hamagawa River, and the peaks of the Tara-dake mountain range. The villa is equipped with a private cypress bath, a mini-kitchen, a refrigerator, a microwave, a projector with a screen, and Google TV. We provide four sets of futons as standard; for groups of five or more, additional sets are available for rent. Registration Details Hotels and Inns Business Act | 佐賀県 | 佐賀県指令 7 杵保福第 18 号
