Description
In the middle of the most beautiful Norwegian nature can show, we offer cabin with shower/wc, tv, internet, freezer, patio with barbecue, sauna, fireplace, washing machine and dishwasher. Boat rental possibly with motor. The space Eikesdalen is located in Nesset Municipality and if you come here you have many possibilities for great hiking in the mountains in summer and winter. Mardalsfossen is a popular hiking destination during the 20-June 20-August 20. We also recommend the trip across Lake Aurs, and the spectacular Finnsetlia located close to our farm. In Eikesdalen you can go fishing, hiking, climbing, relaxing, Basejumpe, fishing salmon, pretty much everything the heart can desire of nature. Eikesdal (also referred to in certain form, Eikesdalen) is a valley and a hamlet east of Nesset municipality, Romsdalen. The valley stretches from Eikesdalsvatnet to the west, to the farm Finnset in the innermost valley to the east. In the village, agriculture and tourism dominate as industries. The most famous sights in the valley are the tall waterfall Mardalsfossen. The valley is a v-dal shaped by the now regulated river Aura, and has very steep mountain sides. The river expires from the regulated Lake Aurs. Eikesdal was for a long time only available via Eikesdalsvatnet by boat, ferry or sled winter. In 1991, County Road 191 from Eresfjord to Øverås on the west side of the water was extended along the north side of the water, and into the valley. Farm name in the valley is from west Mardal, Utigard, Austigard, Oppigard, Sæter and Finnset. Halfway along Eikesdalvatnet we find "Vassgardane", (the farms by the water) Vikegårdene on the east side, Hoem and Hoemsetra to the west.
