Welcome to our light-filled, lovingly furnished garden room in Rüdlingen—just 400 meters from the Rhine, nestled in a large, beautiful garden with a seating area and fire pit. Ideal for 2 people who appreciate peace, nature, and activities: hiking, biking, or swimming in the river. Bright windows overlooking the countryside create a relaxed atmosphere. With high-speed Wi-Fi, also suitable as a workspace The space Our unique garden room (22 m², lockable) provides the perfect setting for 2 people who value a refined, intimate atmosphere surrounded by beautiful nature. This room impresses with its bright, welcoming atmosphere and its direct view of the countryside. During the growing season, the birds chirp in the garden, and the surrounding area creates a pleasant, natural atmosphere. Also very suitable for working here, as the room has high-speed Wi-Fi and a work desk. If desired, an office chair can also be placed in the room. Your retreat • Comfortable double bed (200 x 180 cm), with a Swiss Premium mattress and a wonderful view of the countryside from the bed. • Private kitchenette for breakfast or light meals, Philips 5000 Series Airfryer with steam function for cooking rice, potatoes, vegetables, meat, soft-boiled eggs, toasting bread, thawing, reheating food, and much more. Fridge with freezer compartment, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, dishes. • The toilet and shower are located on the upper floor. The toilet is for our guests' exclusive use. The shower is shared, but we make sure that our guests have priority when using it. • Two private garden seating areas, in the sun or in the shade as desired, with a shared fire pit (incl. wood). The garden room is located less than 30 minutes from the cities of Zurich, Winterthur, and Schaffhausen (Rhine Falls) – nestled on the outskirts of an idyllic village. By car, the towns are not too far away. Winterthur about 30 minutes Schaffhausen about 30 minutes Zurich Airport is about 25 minutes away (longer depending on traffic). Rheinfall Waterfalls in about 20 minutes Public transportation is very reliable. From the property, you can reach the “Rüdlingen Gemeindehaus” bus stop in 3 minutes (150 meters). The following connections are available from here: Hourly (every half hour during peak hours) towards Winterthur; duration 50 minutes 2x hourly to Schaffhausen; duration 42 minutes or 1 hour, depending on the line 2x hourly services to Zurich main station (HB); duration 1 hour ________________________________________________ Active and relaxed in Rüdlingen The Rhine is only a few minutes' walk away and offers: • Hiking along the river and through the vineyards • Cycling along beautiful Rhine routes, as well as through the wine country and along the Thur River. • The Rhine Falls and the beautiful city of Schaffhausen are also within easy reach. • Relaxing walks in idyllic surroundings in the Schaffhausen Nature Park • Swimming in the Rhine at beautiful natural spots • Nature experiences, such as bird watching, in one of the most beautiful regions of the Canton of Schaffhausen and the Thurauen (Naturzentrum am Rhein) • Nice restaurants and a café in the nearby area. • Shopping options: smaller stores (Volg) in the neighboring villages of Flaach, Buchberg, and Rafz. Larger shopping options are available in Eglisau/Hüntwangen (Coop, Migros, Denner, Jumbo) or in nearby Lottstetten, Germany, which has its own shopping facilities. During your stay In-person contact – however you prefer We welcome our guests in an open and warm manner and are very pleased to interact with them. At the same time, we respect your privacy. We are happy to share tips on excursions and restaurants in our area. We speak English; international guests are welcome. Other things to note Note on possible noise: Despite the proximity to nature, a main road runs about 100 meters from the house. Depending on the wind and the time of day, traffic noise may be more or less audible, especially when the window is open. At night it is usually very quiet. If you are very sensitive to noise, please take this into account. Our garden room is located in the annexed section of a 200-year-old half-timbered house. Since we also live in this house as a family, we ask for your understanding if you hear footsteps or other noises from the upstairs room of the sunroom. The house has three outdoor cameras. Two are located by the main entrance on the north side and monitor the entrance from the east and west sides; another is on the south side.
