North of the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Natural Park, your refuge is located in the heart of nature, close to Châtel-Guyon, a thermal spa. Discover the beautiful Puys range (30 min drive to Puy-de-Dôme and Vulcania), or the surrounding landscapes thanks to the many hiking trails! You can also choose to take a horseback ride from the refuge, to discover in an original way a territory shaped by volcanoes, sleeping giants. The space Located on the equestrian center of Coralie and Ken, your Homnest hosts, the refuge has all the amenities in 14 square meters perfectly optimized for nature immersion: ✓ AMENITIES ❀ • Sleeping area: one queen size bed 160x200 cm (2 adults) • A sofa bed (1 extra adult) (extra bed) • Kitchen area: fridge, gas hob, sink • Cookware, tableware, and condiments • Dining area with high table, stools • Bathroom: Sink, walk-in shower • Eco-friendly toilet (dry toilet) • Soaps, towels, and bedding provided • Gas stove heating • Ceiling fan to cool off (no air conditioning) • Outdoor furniture (except winter period): table, chairs & Chilean • (No grilling) • Drinking water via 5L fountain • Tap water: Do not drink the water from the faucets, which is fed by a tank and is used for showers and dishes • Housekeeping included • Free parking HEATING: • Thanks to its powerful stove, your refuge becomes a real warm cocoon, even when cold winter temperatures are rife outside. Within minutes, an enveloping heat spreads throughout the lodge. A soft and comforting atmosphere, perfect for a book by the fire or just gazing at the soft orange flames. ❆ FAN (but no air conditioning) • A ceiling fan will give you the feeling of freshness in the bed in the summer. CATERING & ACTIVITIES SIDE: For an additional fee and upon reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (then subject to availability after this period), Coralie offers you: •⁠ a wine & charcuterie basket (€25) •⁠ horseback rides departing from the refuge, in groups and guided by your hosts (from €30 per person for 1 hour) - 1 person maximum per horse (adult or child) and children accepted from 12 years old. Maximum weight per person: 90kg (for horse wellness) ⚡ Electric vehicle charging via a 2.3 kW outlet provided by your host. The vehicle must never be plugged into an outlet at the shelter, and charging packages are not divisible (4 hours = 4 consecutive hours) •⁠ Car package: €5 for 4 hours / €10 for 12 hours / €15 for 24 hours •⁠ Bike package: €2 per recharge (maximum 4 hours) ✓ GOOD TO KNOW: The refuge is installed in nature and fully self-contained: electricity is produced by solar panels, kitchen and heating run on gas and running water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, but the idea of an alternative habitat is also to become aware of its impact on the environment! As a result, a few rules are required during your stay: 1) Except phones and laptops, electrical appliances other than those provided on site should not be connected at the risk of damaging the solar system. It is therefore not possible to use, for example, your hair dryer, a straightening iron or a raclette machine 2) The risk of fire being very high in nature, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in and around the shelter, but also to light any flame (no barbecue) 3) Sewage is filtered by plants: you are asked to only use the 100% natural products provided (shower gel, dish soap) 4) No pets allowed in the shelter Guest access ✓ Check-in: from 4 p.m. ✓ Check-out: before 10 a.m. ✓ Key box available in case of late arrivals ✓ Possibility to check with your hosts for an earlier check-in (depending on their availability) ✓ You have a free space to park, close to the shelter ✓ Access to the refuge is via a dirt road for about 400 meters. Low cars (sports type) may not pass/scrub in some places Note: two shelters are set up on the equestrian center. You'll be in shelter number 2. Both shelters have been designed to maintain a private space as well as your privacy during the stay Other things to note . The shelter is set up on the land of your host, who lives on site. So you may have to meet her during your stay There's no wifi in the listing The entrance to the refuge is not on one level, it has a small staircase of 3 steps. Not suitable for people with limited mobility (PMR). The bed linen is washed but not ironed.
