Everything you need is on your doorstep, with three welcoming pubs serving excellent food, cosy tearooms, and local shops offering fresh produce, outdoor gear, and souvenirs. From the village pier, the famous Ullswater Steamers depart for cruises along the seven-mile lake to Howtown and Glenridding. The surrounding area offers unforgettable walks, from gentle riverside and woodland strolls to more adventurous routes across the High Street and Helvellyn ranges. Don’t miss Aira Force, a spectacular waterfall about halfway along the lake. Getting here is easy.
