The space Welcome to the Thuringian Forest Chalets at Chalet Eichenpanorama—your stylish getaway at an elevation of over 700 meters on the edge of the nature reserve. Nature right at your doorstep, and inside, a sophisticated blend of oak, natural stone, and modern touches—perfect for those who love peace and quiet and appreciate quality. You enter the accommodation via a small outdoor staircase on the upper floor. 1) Arriving upstairs: Bedroom & designer bathroom right next door On this level is the master bedroom with a cozy box-spring bed (1,6m x 2m) and warm oak accents (including TV). Right next door is the designer bathroom—executed to a high standard with large-format tiles and custom-made features: a stone sink on a custom-made oak vanity, as well as a spacious rain shower (discreetly integrated into the ceiling). 2) Continuing upstairs: Kitchen & dining area with mountain views Just a few steps further on, the bright dining and kitchen area opens up. The centerpiece is the kitchen island—with an integrated bar and bar stools. This is where you’ll chop, chat, and raise a glass. And the best part: while cooking, you’ll have a direct view of the mountains. In front of the striking oak wall stands a solid oak table—perfect for long breakfasts and cozy evenings. 3) The oak staircase leads down: Living room, fireplace & sofa bed with access to the terrace The solid wood staircase leads down to the living area in the lower level: featuring a wood-burning stove (in front of a natural stone wall), a large TV, and a comfortable corner sofa bed—ideal if you have an extra guest staying over. 4) Downstairs: Second bedroom & second bathroom – right next to each other The lower level also features a second bedroom (1,4m x 2m - ideal for children, friends, or additional guests). Here, too, the bathroom is right next door: another modern shower room with a cohesive design (including a rain shower, matching the high-quality style of the accommodation). 5) Out into nature: Terrace & garden From the living area, the patio door leads directly outside to the terrace and the spacious garden with mountain views—perfect for taking a deep breath. During your stay, you have access to the terrace - as well as additional outdoor areas, paths on the grounds, and the wellness area. Inside, you have full access to all rooms in the building of your booked accommodation - from the living and dining areas to the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms, as well as all other interior spaces. This allows you to move about freely, settle in, and enjoy the tranquility of the Thuringian Forest at your own pace. Note: The only exceptions are technical/service and storage areas. Other things to note Tourist tax: In accordance with the regulations of the City of Suhl, we are required to collect a local tourist tax. This fee is not included in the booking price and must be paid separately. The current rate is €2.00 per adult per night (reduced rates apply to certain groups). Self-check-in: Convenient, contactless access via SmartLock (you’ll receive details in advance of your arrival). Access & Use: You have access to the terrace, wellness area, and all rooms in your accommodation building. Internet: Fiber-optic internet and stable Wi-Fi—ideal for longer stays. E-mobility: Wallbox available. Please let us know in advance if you plan to charge your vehicle so we can prepare everything. On-site billing: €0.49/kWh. Pets: Not allowed. House rules & quiet hours: No smoking, no parties/events, keep noise levels respectful—relaxation is the focus. Location & Nature: Quiet, elevated location near a nature reserve – authentic nature included (depending on the season, this may include insects and weather conditions). Directions (Winter): During the cold season, roads may be slippery due to snow – please use appropriate tires and drive with caution. Privacy: Until the planned expansion of the house from March 4, 2027, you’ll enjoy the spacious 3,000 m² property entirely to yourself – with no other holiday guests and no work taking place on the property. Peace, privacy, and relaxation are our highest priorities during this time. After the expansion, your stay will remain just as private and relaxing. The house will then feature two completely independent apartments. All areas of this apartment – including the exclusive sauna – are reserved exclusively for you and are never shared with other guests. Each apartment has its own private entrance on a different side of the house, so your paths won’t cross. Your private terrace is also fully screened to ensure maximum privacy. Even when both apartments are occupied, the only people on the approximately 3,000 m² property are the guests staying in the two apartments. The peaceful atmosphere and your privacy remain unchanged.
