Charming house in scenic surroundings on Runde

Would you like to spend your holiday in scenic surroundings on the bird island of Runde, while enjoying modern facilities in a spacious house with ample space for the whole family or group of friends? Our holiday paradise "Jennyhuset" is a charming and modern small farm, which was rehabilitated and refurbished with, among other things, a new bathroom and kitchen in 2016. The house has five bedrooms, each with its unique style and color. Common to all of them is that you can lie down in a good bed and find peace to the sound of the sea and nature. The space The Jenny House is located on the world famous bird island Runde, in the middle of the ocean gap on Sunnmøre. When I took over this house on the island where I grew up, my ambition was to create a modern vacation paradise for me and my family. Eventually, we found that we wanted to share this amazing house we've been so happy with others by renting it out for periods when we didn't take advantage of it ourselves. In 2016, we completed a major renovation, including a brand new kitchen and bathroom. During the renovation, it was very important for us to preserve the authentic peasant homantic style and soul that runs at one with its surroundings and nature, without compromising with a high level of comfort and modern amenities. We have also built a spacious plating with living space on the upside of the main house. Here we have installed a large picnic table with plenty of space to, for example, cover the breakfast table outside, or use the grill to prepare the dinner outdoors. In 2020, we also listed an annex with inlaid electricity at the property. It is completely unashamedly located on a hill on the grounds, with an associated large plating with plenty of space to enjoy dinner outdoors on late summer evenings. From the comfortable sofa in the annex, you can enjoy panoramic views of the big sea in all kinds of weather; from spectacular sunsets over tin of sea, to frothy waves in storms and storms. Even we use it year-round, and think every year-time view has its unique charm. Here you can look up the big doors to let in the evening breeze on a warm summer night, or fire up the wood stove in the colder seasons. Our house is idyllically located on the island, with no visibility or neighbors close by. From here, the road is a short way to both the bird mountain, Langene lighthouse and Runde boat harbor. In 2021, we also had a large private, gated parking spot on the plot. Here there is plenty of room for several cars, and very short distance with regards to transporting equipment or luggage to and from the car. The start of the trail up to the bird mountain is a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive away. After the first climb you can choose to follow the path that works for you. If you're lucky, you'll see eagles, groceries, puffins, and many other bird species in an hour or two. For those who like it best in flat fields, a walk along the spring can be just as exciting. Here you can see both seals, otters and different bird species. At Runde harbor, which is a short walk away, there are opportunities to fish from the pier. You can also book a trip around the island by boat to see the bird life from the sea and the beautiful lighthouse at Kvalneset. Guest access You will have access to the whole house, with the exception of a storage room which will be locked. As our guest, you also have access to the basement of the house. There is a large selection of outdoor furniture and barbecue, in addition to an extra toilet. Other things to note If you want to fire up the wood stove in the annex or living room on a cool day, guests will find dry wood in the basement for free use.
