The Studio, a former detached quarry building, is a charming 1 bedroomed stone cottage in a small Somerset hamlet. Nestled in a remote countryside setting, down a no-through lane, it offers charming views and easy access to footpaths and glorious Somerset countryside. It was used as an artist’s studio for many years by successful local artist, Roy Avis, and many original examples of his work can be found displayed throughout the cottage. The space The Studio has a good sized lounge, a quirky dining room, a small but well equipped kitchen and downstairs toilet and shower room. Upstairs is a very large bedroom with a kingsized bed. The room has 2 windows and 2 skylights flooding the room with natural light. Outside is a private garden laid to lawn with a patio. One side of the garden is fronted by a high limestone quarry wall providing a stunning and unusual backdrop to this little oasis of calm and peace and quiet. Guest access You have access to a parking space to the right of the property, a small paved area to the rear of the property where the rotary washing line is located, a small front, gravelled area underneath a grapvine and a secluded side garden. Inside, the whole property is yours to enjoy. Other things to note Due to the nature of the previous use of The Studio please note it doesn't have central heating. However, heating is provided by free-standing oil fired radiators. There is a wall mounted heater in the shower room. The Studio is a light and airy space however the Dining Room is quirky and on a slightly different level. This means the ceiling is unusually low so if you're over 6ft 3in you will need to stoop!.
