Description
Cottage dates back to 1670 & has lots of character. Inglenook within kitchen with separate dining area leading to large living room with wood burning stove. South facing conservatory leading to a private garden with parasol and furniture for outdoor dining. Village has local pub, windmill and Railway Centre. Waddesdon Manor 10 mins away; Bicester Village, Oxford, Whipsnade Zoo & Milton Keynes 30 mins. Silverstone & Chiltern Hills approx 50 mins. Rail links to London 10 mins away. The space Bumblebee Cottage is a self-contained house that is suitable for five persons (family or friends). It has three separate bedrooms (x1 king size bed; x1 double sized bed & x1 single bed) and one brand new bathroom (shower, wash basin, WC and mains’ toothbrush charger.) Host could provide child’s cot and secure stair gate if required. The ground floor consists of a new, fully equipped kitchen with fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and ceramic hob with combined oven & microwave. Kitchen leads into a small dining room and into a large living room. Mind your head on the low ceiling beam; it’s an old cottage! There is a separate south facing conservatory that leads into a private garden. The garden has just been newly landscaped, planted with roses, flowers and turfed, so is now ready for guests to enjoy. Guest access The cottage is self contained so offers complete privacy for guests. The host lives next door to Bumblebee Cottage and is always able to help with queries. There is a self check key box located in the host’s driveway. Other things to note There is an electric vehicle charging point on the host’s driveway. By prior arrangement guests could charge their EV if required (subject to reasonable extra cost). Host is a keen gardener and cook and grows an abundance of seasonal organic fruit, salads and vegetables. At an extra cost he could offer culinary surprises for guests, particularly during early summer to late autumn. Host can also offer traditional breakfasts with homemade bread, jams and marmalade.
