Stone Circle Cottage

Stone Circle Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a compact, 2-bedroom cottage. The cottage is situated on a small farm, 14.2 km outside the town of Lydenburg. The cottage is located in a secluded part of the garden, with its own fenced-off area. The view from the patio looks over farmland, and in the distance, you can see Long Tom Pass on the other side of the valley. The space The farm itself is largely thornveld and extends up and over the hill, providing lovely walks. There are horses, dogs, cats, wildlife, such as kudu, duiker, warthog, baboons and monkeys, and many birds on the farm. The hills are also home to leopard, serval and brown hyena, though they are very elusive and seldom seen. The cottage can accommodate 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The first bedroom contains 2 single beds and the second bedroom contains a double bed. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove and a kettle and toaster. Guests have access to Wi-Fi, braai facilities and secure parking. The Thaba Chwe area is known for its hiking, game viewing, fly fishing and wedding venues. The whole area is steeped in history with archaeologically significant sites. Stone Circle Cottage is located 128 km from Kruger National Park, 188 km from Blyde River Canyon and 102 km from Sudwala Caves, for exciting day trips. Guest access The farm is open for you to walk around and you are welcome to wander our large garden. Should you wish for fresh veggies out our veggie patch, please enquire for what we have in season. Other things to note We do offer horse riding and day trips to Kruger Park on request and are happy to organize other outings in the area as well. We are all avid outdoors people and can offer hiking excursions, bird's of prey outings, and even rock climbing if you would like to explore further afield. All of these would have to be organized with us separately and would be at an extra cost.
