The apartment is in Giba, a municipality in the heart of Sulcis, perfect for those who want to explore the South of Sardinia. A strategic point between land and sea, just minutes from the Dunes of Porto Pino, the island of Sant'Antioco, the Polygon of Capo Teulada and other of the most famous beaches of Sardinia, the apartment is located in a quiet and peaceful setting, surrounded by greenery, despite being on the main street of the town. You will also find many shops and services nearby. The space ABOUT LISTING The recently renovated apartment is on the second floor of a semi-detached house with a separate entrance. It has three bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and balcony. The shared kitchen, the heart of the house, occupies a central position but, thanks to its layout, offers privacy to all the rooms. THE BEDROOM The large bedroom overlooks the main street of the village and offers a beautiful view. It consists of a comfortable double bed that, if necessary and upon request, can be transformed into two comfortable single beds, a large wardrobe with hangers and a full-height mirror, a desk where you will find tea and coffee for a quick breakfast or a moment of relaxation, a smart TV, and a comfortable bench where you can place your luggage. A practical crib will be available for your child upon request. THE BATHROOM (PRIVATE) The bathroom in the windowed room is equipped with everything you need to make your vacation even more relaxing. It is equipped with all sanitary facilities, toilet, bidet, sink and shower. The comfortable drawer cabinet will allow you to store your items comfortably. COMFORTABLE Upon arrival, you will find a kit consisting of 1 small towel, 1 medium towel, and 1 large towel per person. Shampoo, hand soap and bath foam are at your disposal. You will also find a hairdryer and an iron with a small ironing board inside the closet. The private balcony is equipped with a small clothesline and ashtray. The room is also equipped with blackout curtains and electrical outlets with a European connection. SHARED AREAS: - THE KITCHEN The shared kitchen will help you prepare quick snacks, platters of local products, or a fresh aperitif. We designed this space for small 'smart' meals: since there is no common table, the ideal is to sip a glass of wine and enjoy your creations on your private balcony, enjoying relaxation in the open air. Although it is not a kitchen designed for the preparation of large dishes, it is equipped with all the necessary utensils. Dishes, cutlery, glasses, cookware sets and other utensils are at your complete disposal. You will also find a convenient oven to heat your dishes. You will also find a convenient washing machine where you can wash your clothes during your stay and a dryer to dry your clothes faster. Other things to note HELPFUL LOCAL TIPS Giba is the perfect starting point for those who want to discover the most authentic side of Southern Sardinia. Here the wilderness meets millennia of history. The Sulcis Iglesiente is an area rich in archaeological sites such as the Montessu site and the Nuragic Village of Sirai, just to name a few. Giba is also in an excellent location as it is very close to the Capo Teulada Polygon, one of the largest military areas in Italy. THE SEA - The beaches Porto Botte and Is Solinas are the closest (10 min), famous for their crystal clear waters and loved by kitesurfing and windsurfing enthusiasts. - Porto Pino beach (15-20 min) is famous for its spectacular white sand dunes and Aleppo pines that reach the sea. - The island of Sant'Antioco (25 min) is connected by an isthmus of land, and is a paradise of coves. From here you can embark on an excursion to Carloforte, on the Island of San Pietro, a unique village with Ligurian influences. TREKKING AND HISTORY - Giba is in the heart of the mining basin. For trekking enthusiasts, we are in a strategic position to travel stages of the Santa Barbara Mining Trail, one of the most evocative trails in Italy that winds through abandoned villages, caves and cliffs. ALTERNATIVE CITIES AND WEEKENDS - Carbonia (15 min) and Iglesias (30 min) are the nearest cities, ideal for an evening walk or to visit the mining museums (such as the Great Mine of Serbariu). - Cagliari (60 min) is the Sardinian capital, perfect for a day of shopping, history in the Castello district and dinner in the lively Marina district. - Oristano (about 1h 20 min) is perfect if you are looking for an alternative weekend between ancient history and the beaches of the Sinis peninsula.
