Gerdi, Hillswick, Shetland - beautiful sea views

Set within a large private garden with uninterrupted sea views, Gerdi is beautifully appointed with spacious comfortable rooms. Situated within easy walking distance of a sandy beach, local shop and hotel it is the ideal location to explore the stunning North Mavine scenery The space Built in 2008 to a high standard, Gerdi sits within 1/2 acre of rough grass and well maintained flower beds - not common in Shetland - with willows providing shelter. There is disabled ramp access to the ground floor which consists of kitchen/dining room, living room, 2 double bedrooms (one with en-suite), bathroom and utility room. The kitchen is well equipped with electric hob and fan oven, microwave, fridge\freezer and dish washer. There is a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. The living room has 2 large windows giving panoramic sea views with comfortable seating for 6, but will accommodate more. Both double bedrooms have large built in wardrobes with the master bedroom having an en-suite shower and toilet. Upstairs there is a spacious twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower and toilet. Outside there is a flower garden as well as a drying green and an area of natural grassland. Otters have been observed just below the house and birds of all types can be seen and on one memorable occasion a humpback whale feeding in the voe was viewed from the living room window. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the property and the garden grounds. Other things to note This is a no smoking, no pets property. We use eco friendly products for cleaning the house and bed linen and towels are laundered for sensitive skin.
