Earthen home in Bettahalli Kaval
Description
Step into Kumbara Hatti, a 430 sq ft cottage inspired by the potter’s way of life—simple, earthy, and deeply handmade. The structure is built using sun-dried bricks, with roof tiles sourced from ruins around Kombukal, keeping the space naturally cool and full of character. Underfoot, you’ll find cow-dung flooring, a traditional finish that adds to the cottage’s grounded, breathable feel. Other things to note At Kombukal, your stay includes three wholesome vegetarian meals every day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—so you can truly slow down and settle into the rhythm of the land. Our food is rooted in Karnataka cuisine, cooked with care using fresh, seasonal produce, and simple, honest ingredients. We focus on comfort, nourishment, and flavour—meals that feel like home, served with warmth and the spirit of slow living.
