Clay Barn - dog friendly, countryside retreat

A peaceful retreat in the Suffolk countryside! Self-contained, dog-friendly detached cottage with WiFi, smart TV, laundry facilities and comfy king-sized bed. Situated 15mins from Bury St Edmunds, 30mins from Ipswich and 50mins from Cambridge, this is the perfect base to discover East Anglia. Take in some nearby walks, try out the local pubs, and explore picturesque villages. Our family home is just next door, so we would be happy to assist during your stay as much or as little as you need. The space Clay Barn is a comfortable, detached one-bedroom cottage situated just off of a country lane. Our guests have dedicated space for one vehicle on our driveway, just outside the space. If you need to bring multiple vehicles, please let us know so we can accommodate where possible. Downstairs you will find the bathroom with large, luxurious walk-in shower, as well as a comfortable living area. There is a kitchenette stocked with everything you might need: - Full fridge and freezer - Washing machine / laundry - Microwave - Toaster - Air fryer - Plug-in induction plate (single hob) - Kettle and coffee machine We also provide a full range of pots, pans and utensils - including the all-important bottle opener! Additionally, you can relax on the sofa and keep up with your favourite entertainment on the smart TV, where you can log into your streaming services. We have fast WiFi connection (approx. 75Mbps) and router with Ethernet connection, perfect for remote working. Upstairs, in the striking loft bedroom, there is a comfortable king-size bed with a view out across the farm fields beyond. At the rear of the cottage is an ample patio where you can sit and enjoy the view across the fields. We recommend having your morning tea or coffee out there and taking in the sun on a clear day! Guest access You have complete use of Clay Barn during your stay, including parking space in front of the building and the patio at the rear. As Clay Barn is detached from the main house, you have complete privacy and are not overlooked in the space. If you are bringing your dog with you, just let us know and we would be happy for you to let them stretch their legs in the fully fenced small grass paddock behind the main house and next to Clay Barn. You can have access to this area throughout your stay. Other things to note Only a short distance from the A14, Clay Barn is perfectly situated to explore local areas!
