Refuge house between forest and sea – Queilen This wooden house was built by me, with time, care and respect for the environment. It is surrounded by trees and opens onto a privileged view of the Queilen estuary, right at the mouth of the Mechay River: a living, changing and deeply tranquil landscape. It has wood heating, a hot shower, spring water, wifi and all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay in the middle of nature. A place to come and connect. 🌳🌸 The space The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully integrated American kitchen, perfect for sharing and enjoying without rushing. Birdwatching is common in the area, especially at sunrise and sunset, when the estuary is full of life. Guest access Guests have access to the common areas of the house, designed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Upon entering, you will find a cozy entrance hall where you can leave bags and shoes, as well as a coat rack available to hang jackets. The living room is spacious and very bright, equipped with a comfortable sofa and a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful views of the estuary, read a book or listen to music on the radio equipment available. In the center of the house is a wood-burning stove, ideal for sharing the heat and creating a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is fully stocked with a 4-burner stove, electric oven, and a large refrigerator, perfect for long stays and for cooking everything you want. For meals, you can enjoy the island's armchairs while cooking or share the dining room, a space with spectacular natural lighting. The house also has a laundry room with a washer and dryer available for guests. On the first level there is a room with a double bed and a small bed, closet and electric heater. There is also a large bathroom with a tub and an electric towel warmer. On the second level is the master bedroom, equipped with a double bed, closet and a private bathroom with shower. Other things to note It is a spacious, cozy and very well insulated house, designed to truly rest. Here, silence is felt, time slows down, and the world's distractions are far away. For me, it is a protected place, ideal for creative retreats, moments of intimacy, deep rest or simply to take refuge. Despite its retreat atmosphere, it has easy vehicle access, is steps from the beach, and just 15 minutes from the village of Queilen.
