The decked terrace provides enchanting views of the river Wear and Elvet Bridge which is a mediaeval masonry arch bridge across the River Wear. It links the peninsula in central Durham and the Elvet area of the city, and is a Grade I listed building. The bridge is reputed to be the narrowest row-through bridge in Europe. The apartment is perfectly located in a peaceful and relaxing setting where you can enjoy all the sights that our lovely City has to offer. It is ideal for families or guests visiting the University, a romantic break for two or travellers wishing to enjoy the sights of Durham City. The hallway leads to a ground floor WC and the living space. Featuring a sociable, open plan living area with a generously equipped kitchen and dining table, the space is elegantly furnished and comfortable. The french doors open from the lounge to the outside decked terrace where you can enjoy the river views or feed the passing ducks. Laura Ashley soft furnishings and original artwork by The Rocks Brothers are presented throughout the apartment. There are 2 bedrooms facing the inner courtyard and the main bathroom on the upper floor. The master bedroom with king sized bed and en suite bathroom with a further generous double room with a double bed. The beds are prepared with crisp white 800TC Egyptian Cotton linen, with seasonal goose feather duvets. Wrap yourself up in a plush bathrobe and wander downstairs to make the most of the floor to ceiling windows in the lounge, perfectly placed to enjoy the river views with a morning coffee whilst curled up on the sofa. You'll find fluffy white towels in the bathrooms with complimentary Duck Island toiletries and White Company soap and hand lotion throughout. Guest access St Andrew's Court benefits from its own underground, private car park. This is accessed through the secure automated garage door with your own parking bay. The stairs will lead you directly to the ground floor where the apartment is located. Alternatively, the elevator will take you directly to the ground floor where the apartment is a short walk away through the courtyard. If you are taking the stairs there is no need to step outside and it is fully private. The secure building door on the ground floor level can be accessed on foot across the courtyard if the car park is not required. This also provides access to the street level where you will be a few minutes from shops, bars and restaurants. The accommodation includes free secure parking for one car on the premises. Guests may enjoy full use of the apartment including its large private terrace with complimentary WIFI. Other things to note We do not accept Hen or Stag parties or pets. No parties or social gatherings without the host's permission. No smoking. No loud music. Quiet after 10pm.
