The Wild Escape at Dzukija National Park

Welcome to The Wild Escape ! Welcome to an unforgettable getaway at the cabin in the woods that is situated in a breath-taking Lithuanian wilderness. Surrounded by one of the most beautiful national parks in Lithuania, the ethnographic region of Dzukija is known for its role in Lithuanian mythology. The region has preserved its original authenticity including a local dialect, charming villages and untamed landscapes. It is a beautiful place where time no longer exists! The space The Wild Escape is an excellent choice for all the adventure-seekers who are in search of an authentic Lithuanian outdoor experience in the middle of the so-called ‘nowhere’ where nature runs wild. The Wild Escape invites nature lovers, star gazing enthusiasts, camping beginners and experts, outdoor sports fans, wildlife and flitter mice watchers, wild-berry pickers, sunrise wanderers, aspiring poets and inspiration seekers, kayaking and canoeing fanatics. The Wild Escape offers a cabin in the woods in completely wild nature. The cabin is situated by Ula river and the wild forests of Dzukija National Park. If you are looking for peace of mind this place is for You. Camping The camping area consists of one main wooden house (cabin) with a covered terrace and outdoor space for the open fireplace. Sleeping The cabin's upper floor sleeps 4 people. Includes 1 double bed and 2 single beds. There is an additional single sleeping pad for an extra guest. Lower floor: Includes 1 double sofa-bed. Bedding: small and larger pillows and single blankets are provided. You will need to take Your own bed clothing or sleeping bags. Electricity No electricity. Solar lamps and flashlights for lighting will be provided. It would be useful to have Your own flashlight and portable source of electricity ( such as the power bank in case you’d like to charge the phone). Water No running water supply in the cabin. Drinking water comes from a well, the water pump is next to the cabin. There is a springhead 200 meters away from the cabin. Food/goods There is no shopping center in and near the Wild Escape camping area. So we suggest that you come prepared and do the shopping in advance. Shower/WC River Ula is 200 meters away from the cabin. An outdoor water bag for the shower is also provided. There’s also an outdoor toilet. Cooking A portable gas stove is provided. There’s an indoor stove heated with firewood in the cabin. There’s also an outdoor fireplace. Cups, plates, pots, kitchen and grill tools are provided. Heating Indoor stove heated with firewood Internet/TV No wifi/TV. The phone signal and internet is working but not at every spot of the camping area.
