Welcome to our lovingly renovated apartment at the monastery in Hornbach Our property is centrally located in the heart of Hornbach - right at the foot of the historic Hornbach monastery. The listed house from 1750 was renovated in 2025/26 with a lot of love for detail. We have preserved the historic charm and combined it with modern living comfort. A stylish and cozy place to stay awaits you – ideal for families, couples, business travelers and fitters. The space The apartment has two bedrooms, each equipped with a double bed, wardrobe and dresser – ideal for relaxing nights. The living and dining room offers a large dining table for up to six people, a TV and a sofa bed. For an occupancy of six guests, the sofa bed serves as an additional double bed. For even more comfort, the sofa bed is equipped with a mattress topper. The daylight bathroom has a shower, washing machine and dryer – perfect for longer stays. The kitchen is equipped with a compact kitchenette, a small dishwasher and seating for up to four people. For families with small children, we are happy to provide a high chair and/or a baby crib on request. Just contact us. Guest access The cozy apartment on the ground floor is reserved for you. The private entrance is directly on the street side and allows easy access. The apartment has two free parking spaces, which are located on the side along the house wall and are easily accessible. Behind the house, to the left of the carport, there is also an outdoor area with seating – ideal for a coffee in the morning or a relaxing evening. Important note: The parking spaces in the carport are assigned to the apartment on the 2nd floor. The parking space allocation depends on the location of the respective entrances. Other things to note Centrally located with diverse recreational opportunities Our accommodation is centrally located in the heart of Hornbach – right at the foot of the historic monastery Hornbach. In the immediate vicinity you will find everything for everyday needs: bakery, pharmacy, post office and hairdresser are within walking distance. Shopping facilities are offered by the dm-drogerie markt (about 240 m) and WASGAU Produktions & Handels AG (about 550 m). Public charging stations for electric cars about 130 m and 190 m away. Nature & exercise right outside the door Hornbach and its surroundings offer numerous idyllic hiking and cycling trails. Particularly popular are the water buffalo trail and the premium hiking trail around the monastery town. Families are well cared for: a large playground is close by. Just a few meters away, a modern leisure facility with basketball and soccer field, mini golf, table football and billiards invites you to joint activities. A special experience is an alpaca hike with Klosterstadt alpacas – a highlight for all ages. Relaxation & Recreation For relaxing hours, you can book a day package in the spa area of Kloster Hornbach or enjoy the soothing atmosphere of the Mauschbach salt grotto. Shopping & excursions The popular fashion outlet Zweibrücken is only about 8 km away and invites you to extensive shopping trips. For relaxed walks, we recommend the beautiful Zweibrücken rose garden and the Zweibrücken pheasantry. Action & leisure fun in the surrounding area (about 6–8 km) In the immediate vicinity you will find numerous leisure activities such as the Camp4 climbing hall, the World of Fun and a go-kart track for motorsport enthusiasts. A special highlight for motorsport fans is the renowned motocross track in Schweyen, located directly behind Hornbach on the German-French border – one of the most beautiful tracks in Europe.
