Log cabin on the shore of Lake Saimaa

A hand-carved 100m2 log cabin on the shore of Lake Saimaa, completed in 1995. Peaceful milieu just a few minutes drive from the services of the center of Varkaus. It's a great place to relax for a weekend, or a longer stay. Basic amenities and cooking utensils. The cottage is connected to a very spacious wood-burning sauna. A hut in the yard and a grill canopy in free use. The cottage is suitable for a year-round stay, but it's a good idea to book woolen socks:) The space Towels and bed linens are not included in the price, but are available for €10/person. (Type 2) Downstairs: Master bedroom with a narrow double bed (140 cm). Kitchen and living room with a dining area. Separate toilet, dressing room, shower and a large wood-fired sauna (for 8-10 people). Upstairs: One large bedroom with 3 beds 120 cm wide. In addition, an open space. Depending on the situation, some of the upstairs beds can also be placed in the open space. Outdoor areas: Private beach with a gently sloping bottom. On the beach, there is a really large, flat lawn for sunbathing, yard games, etc. There is also a separate hut (cold) in the yard, as well as a large open grill canopy with a campfire area (no gas grill). There is a lot of parking space for cars. Access to the cottage is also possible by boat; the boat channel is a short distance away. The depth depends on the water level in Lake Saimaa. When traveling with small children, please note that there are steep stairs leading to the upper floor, and access to them cannot be completely prevented. Next to the property is a neighbor with year-round residents, so it is not exactly a wilderness cabin. Guest access All facilities are available to the guest except for the smoke sauna in the yard. Other things to note Neighbors on the property, so normal, considerate behavior is desirable. Of course, a night out within reasonable limits is allowed.
