Doesn’t matter if you visit with or without a car, there are a variety of alternatives for transportation. If you travel by bus, I suggest to arrive at the Oaxtepec’s bus station. There you can unload your luggage. From there you could get a cab or an Uber to the house. I recommend Uber. For local transportation if you walk two blocks towards the park, you will find the base for the local buses. This buses are commonly called “combis” and they will take you to the nearby market or as far as Cuautla’s downtown. Just in front of the park you will find another alternative, taxis. I recommend negotiating and agreeing the fare fee before the trip starts. It’s usually around $60 pesos to Los Arcos (Comercial Mexicana supermarket) or to Los Atrios (mall Walmart/Sams and movies) Uber is also available now on the area and I highly recommend using it. If you like to exercise, there are nice and open spaces close by where you could run, walk or ride your bicycle. I recommend visiting Yecapixtla, famous for the great quality and taste of the meat that it’s named “Cecina”. Also check the architecture and tradicional market by the church.
