Hut in Chizu

Description

Chizu, a post town that once flourished in the southeastern part of San'in."Tanoshi" is a guest house with a regional eatery that is uniquely recreated from an old private house that has been built over the years, and it stands as if it blends into the emotional cityscape. Step into the dormitory (shared room) on the second floor and you will be greeted by the soothing scent of wood. The bright and simple design of the space has a homely atmosphere where everyone, from individuals to groups of friends, can spread out at a comfortable distance. The dining room on the ground floor is a unique "living" base in this town, where local staff, residents, travelers naturally mingle. Shared spaces are also available, making it ideal for remote work, long-term stays, and those considering relocation. You can spend your own time while looking out the window at the seasonal scenery. The Ishitani Residence, a national important cultural property in the Chikuzu area, and the solemn Suwa Shrine, known as a famous spot for autumn leaves, are must-sees, but there are also indigo dyeing workshops and cafes that were born from the use of vacant houses as a new charm of the town, and you can also enjoy plenty of nostalgic alley walks. Why not experience the warmth and daily life rooted in this land, which you can't get just by visiting tourist spots? The space [Dormitory type (shared room)] It is a style where you share the room with other guests. The beds are bunk beds and each bed has a privacy curtain. Because of the structure that makes it easy for sound to be heard, it is suitable for those who understand that it is a shared space and those who want to spend time quietly. Bookings are available for 2 nights or more. Whether you want to enjoy a relaxing stay on your own or with friends and family, the space can accommodate up to 4 people. There are shared spaces and separate private rooms in the accommodation area. Unlike typical hotels and inns, our guest house is a small accommodation that makes the most of a traditional old house. Surrounded by nature in a nostalgic setting, you can experience local life and connect with the people, feeling as if you were “living” there. We are environmentally friendly and prioritize hospitality that allows you to enjoy a comfortable and worry-free stay. The building is a bright, clean, and simple space where the old, magnificent beams and the newly incorporated wood textures harmonize. Many people say they "relaxed and slept" surrounded by the scent of wood. The shower, toilet, and sink are shared. A valuables box is also available, so you can go out with peace of mind. The first floor dining room offers lunch and dinner with local flavors (* Please check the business hours on the official Rakuno social media, etc.). Because the building is a historical building, there is no soundproofing. The first floor dining room can be noisy until around 10 pm, but that's also part of Chikuzu's daily life. After closing, the deep silence unique to old private houses comes. As night falls, rest comfortably surrounded by the warmth of the trees. We also recommend a morning walk along the quiet road to sharpen your senses. Please feel free to ask the staff on the 1st floor if you have any concerns or questions during your stay. * All spaces in the building are non-smoking.
