The 4-star Arche gîte: A Nature Getaway

After 2 years of work carried out by us, our family project is finally complete! The 4-star-rated cottage, built with exposed stone walls and measuring 100 m², is adjacent to our Charentais farmhouse, with a separate entrance and a parking space. It can host up to 5 people. For spa guests, a package of 1150 euros is offered. Don't hesitate to ask us. The space The cottage is nestled in the heart of Charente-Maritime, in the middle of the Cognac vineyards, and just a few kilometers from the spa town of Jonzac. We are in the countryside at the end of a small road right next to a winery. Here there is no traffic or noisy neighbors, just the singing of birds and the vines all around, it is ideal for a relaxing stay. On the ground floor of the cottage are: - a small living room with an insert, ideal for winter evenings by the fire - a fully equipped kitchen with a built-in hood and a Nespresso coffee machine. Loving the kitchen a lot, I tried to equip it to make it as pleasant as possible. - a living room equipped with a TV, dining table and reversible air conditioning - one bedroom with a 160 cm bed and a dressing room - a bathroom with a shower (extra flat tray) and a toilet - a fully equipped laundry room with washing machine, dryer, water softener, steam generator Upstairs: - a large open space with exposed beams including a 140 cm bed and a 90 cm bed, all equipped with reversible air conditioning and a dressing room - a children's corner with games and books available - a bathroom with a toilet and a sink Outside, enjoy a small furnished terrace, ideal for morning coffee or tea ;-). Part of our garden will be allocated to you with a large table and deckchairs to enjoy beautiful summer evenings in our Charente countryside. Our garden is quite large (5000 m²), there are games for children (swing, ping pong table etc...), a vegetable garden in fine weather, if you like the great outdoors this is the ideal place! We tried to make a comfortable and authentic cottage, perfect for a stay with family or friends, between relaxation and nature while being close to the cities. We'll give you addresses for farm and local products. We have winegrower friends 15 minutes from our home who will gladly give you a tour of the cellar and a tasting of cognac and Pineau des Charentes. For interests and activities in the area, there is plenty of choice: - Les Antilles de Jonzac is one of the largest water parks in Europe located in the heart of the Cognac vineyard, 1200 m² of pool, water at 29° agitated by the waves, with a long slide of 60 m2, bubbling baths, sauna, hammam, river with current, massaging jets... - We have an outdoor swimming pool with a large slide 5 km from our home in Archiac. Kids love to go there. - the town of Jonzac is known to spa-goers for its thermal baths but also for its medieval castle that can be visited. There is also a water mill (which produces walnut oil) and a windmill (which produces flour) in Jonzac. The visits are organized by young millers who are very invested in their passion. - the city of Pons with its castle of enigmas, a leisure park that allows you to visit a magnificent Renaissance castle through a treasure hunt that will immerse you in the world of pirates. - We are 50 km from the Atlantic coast, including Talmont sur Gironde, Meschers, Saint Palais sur Mer etc... - An hour from our home, we are in Bordeaux. We lived there for 15 years and my spouse still works there, so we can happily give you plenty of good places to discover this beautiful city. Guest access Free access for guests with a key box. Other things to note The bed linen and towels are provided. An end-of-stay cleaning package is available upon request. The accommodation is non-smoking and no pets are allowed. The number of occupants must match the number indicated when booking. Additional guests will not be accepted.
