It is a few minutes away from the Ancient City of Ephesus and within walking distance of the Çamlık Train Museum. About Çamlık Village Çamlık Village is a unique settlement known for its historical and natural beauty. The İzmir–Aydın railway, Turkey's first railway line, passes through this village. Çamlık Train Station in the village is a historical station dating back to the Ottoman era and is still in use today. The village is also home to the Çamlık Steam Locomotive Museum. This museum is considered one of the largest open-air steam locomotive museums in the world. This unique space, where old trains are on display, attracts not only history and railway enthusiasts but also nature lovers. Location Kensho Retreat is within walking distance of the Çamlık Locomotive Museum and is located very close to the area's major destinations: Ephesus Ancient City The Temple of Artemis Ayasuluk Castle Virgin Mary house Şirince Village Kusadasi For guests who prefer the sea, Pamucak Beach and the beaches of Kuşadası are only a short drive away. The train station in the village is just 500 meters away from the house. From here, you can reach İzmir Basmane Train Station in about 1.5 hours. In addition, thanks to the bus and İzban connections, it is possible to easily access many parts of İzmir, including the airport. Accommodation Our house can accommodate up to 7 people. 2 x Double bed (140×190 and 160×190) In the living room located in the inner courtyard, there is a sofa that can be converted into 2 single beds. 1 portable single bed (90 cm × 200 cm) This layout provides a comfortable stay for both families and groups of friends. Inner Courtyard Kensho's inner courtyard is a completely private, secluded area. It offers an ideal environment for guests seeking tranquility, peace, and privacy. You can enjoy your morning coffee and relax in the cool Aegean breeze in the evenings. Atmosphere With its cool, clean air, Çamlık Village offers a refreshing environment even in the summer months. Here, the sounds of birds, the nostalgic atmosphere of old trains, and the tranquility of nature slow down time. The courtyard is a quiet and secluded space that belongs exclusively to the house, offering a peaceful area to relax, enjoy a coffee or spend time outdoors. The entrance to the house is independent, allowing guests to come and go freely during their stay. Street parking is available near the property. Our goal is to offer guests a comfortable stay with privacy while experiencing the calm atmosphere of village life in Çamlık. Other things to note Village environment Kensho is located in the peaceful village of Çamlık. As with many traditional villages, the atmosphere is calm and natural rather than urban. You may occasionally hear village sounds such as distant animals, tractors or daily life in the surroundings. Respect for neighbors The house is part of a quiet residential village. To maintain a respectful and peaceful environment for everyone, we kindly ask guests to keep noise levels low after 10:00 PM and before 10:00 AM. Natural setting Since the house is surrounded by nature and gardens, insects or flies may occasionally be present, especially during warmer months. Windows are equipped with screens to help keep the indoor space comfortable. Parking Parking is available on the street near the house. The area is generally quiet and safe for parking. A peaceful village stay Kensho is designed for guests who appreciate a calm and authentic village atmosphere close to nature and history.
