Dane Cottage - Miss Marple's Cottage Hampshire

Description

Dane Cottage sits in the picturesque and historic village of Nether Wallop, overlooking the Village Green and bordering the gentle Wallop Brook. This Grade II listed thatched cottage, used as Miss Marple’s house, is rich in character, with exposed beams, an open fire, and a real sense of timeless English charm. Your private half of the cottage offers two generous bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, living room, hallway, own access, shared walled garden, parking and catering by arrangement. The space Your private half of the cottage offers two generous bedrooms one with a super king bed and one with a King double. The first has an ensuite with shower and toilet and the second has access to its own bathroom which also includes a bath. These are both on the first floor. You have your own private access which leads into a spacious hallway with original wooden flooring, from here you have access to a downstairs toilet and large living room. The living room boasts beams, books, games and a large television with sound bar and Sky. There are 3 sofas, 3 x 2 seater and 1 x 3 seater. There is also an open fire. In the living room the catering facilities consist of :- A Microwave/oven/grill combo Kettle Toaster Little Fridge All sorts of plates, glasses, chopping boards etc Tea Coffee Sugar Bread Butter Condiments In the downstairs cloakroom is a good sized sink. We are happy, and this is what usually happens, to clean your dishes, just popping them through our dishwasher. You leave them on a tray we deal and return. You are also welcome to use our kitchen if catering for a big event and we are happy to put things in our aga to cook or heat if needed. There is also a charcoal BBQ outside. If you need any kitchen implements that are not available just ask and we can provide. If you would like your stay to be catered this can be arranged directly for a small extra cost. We also provide basic breakfast items. An additional door from the hallway leads to a mostly walled and completely secure shared garden. A small table and chairs is available together with a bbq and utensils. Please be aware that there is a small pond. Parking is in a gravelled small private carpark opposite the property and can accommodate 2 cars. Dogs are welcome (we have 3 Springer Spaniels!) we would just ask that they do not go on the furniture. Children are welcome but we do not have a travel cot or highchair etc. There are though a few games and books! There is a charge for any children over the age of 2. Guest access You have your own access and secured half of the house for your sole use. Mostly we are able to meet you and show you around, on occasion the key will be available in a key safe. Other things to note From an allergy point of view we do have 3 beautiful, friendly and well trained dogs who you will not need to meet if you do not wish to.
