Rueby's is a spacious, newly renovated, and spotlessly clean self-catering guesthouse in the charming town of Dullstroom, Mpumalanga. This home surely is the ideal base for exploring this quaint and wonderful area. At Rueby's, you can open the patio doors to double your living space with the covered veranda. Enjoy the sound of nature and an open sky whilst gazing at the stars with the sound of the crackling fireplace in the background. The space Rueby’s is a spacious, sunny and cosy place with a mixture of old and new ambiance, and a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. On the one side of the entrance are a open plan kitchen, dining room, living room and the patio. One the other side is the Main bedroom, plus bedroom 2 and 3 with the bathrooms. The home can accommodate up to 6 adults, 2 children and a toddler in a crip. Rueby’s has a wonderful covered veranda with a fireplace for braai or an evening fire, where you can relax with family and friends. There are many trees on the property, with a grass lawn for the kids to enjoy. Your 4-legged friends are also welcome with prior arrangements and an extra fee of R100 per night. That is for the extra cleaning to remove all hair, wash the special dogs towels and toy’s. CLEANING To keep the entire home clean and healthy for every guest: • We use a cleaning product that adheres to World Health Organization standards (70% alcohol). This is used throughout the home, including for the kids’ and dogs’ toys. • A disinfectant spray is available in the kitchen for use on all surfaces. • Disinfecting handwash is available throughout the house. BEDROOMS Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (3 guests) King size bed, day bed, fireplace, a ladies dream dressing table, and a modern en-suite bathroom with large shower. Open the double patio doors onto your personal veranda and braai area to let a fresh breeze of air and the sunshine in. The king size bed can be changed into 2 three-quarter beds if desired, and the day bed can be used to sleep for another person as well. There is space in the room to accommodate another single bed if needed. Second bedroom with en-suite bathroom (2 guests) Queen size bed, dressing table with a well-lit mirror, and side chair. The en-suite bathroom is beautiful and spacious, with a modern bath and open shower. Third bedroom with separate bathroom (2 guests) Two single beds that can be converted to a king size bed, a lovely reading nook in the sun, and a vanity/desk. The bathroom with shower and wash basin is located outside the bedroom, and the toilet is separate. I am passionate about using top-quality bedding! In every bedroom you will find: - 100% Cotton Percale linen (from 230-600 thread count) - Luxury non-allergenic duvet and an electric blanket for the winter evenings - 4 Non-allergenic quality microfibre pillows that feel like clouds Bathroom amenities include shampoo and conditioner, body wash, body cream, soap, quality towels, and more. COMMON AREAS The highlight of this home is the covered braai on a beautiful veranda, where you can bond with friends and family until the early morning hours. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with brand new equipment, top-quality pots, a frying pan, cookware, stunning dinner and cutlery sets including Capri Lagioule steak knives and forks. The large dining room is set next to an antique Aga coal stove which can be lit when the evenings get cold. It will bring back fond memories of the good old days. Take off your shoes and relax in the living area that welcomes you with three comfortable couches, a chair, fireplace, TV, DSTV and kids’ corner. A dogs corner is next to the Aga stove and is a warm and comfortable place for your 4-legged friends. Washable toys, blankets and bowls are available for your dog. Guest access As guests of the main house, you will have exclusive access to the entire house, patios and garden. Other things to note TAKE NOTE There are also 2 1-bedroom apartments on the property. The apartments are separate from and independent of the main house. Guests staying in the apartments have their own private entrance and living areas.
