Huntshaw Stables is a premium countryside Airbnb retreat designed to offer couples a peaceful, luxurious, and restorative escape in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The private one-bed studio sits away from the family home and will comfortably sleep two people. Its perfect for those who are looking for peace and quiet and love nature. Guests can experience a variety of wildlife up close; Hares, pheasant, geese, herons and the occasional deer and barn owl. Horses and foals will be resident in adjacent fields between July and March for guests to watch and enjoy. We do not permit dogs in order to protect all the wildlife and the young horses. Book asap to enjoy a tranquil experience amidst wonderful scenery. The Space. The Huntshaw Stables is a self-contained studio-style accommodation featuring a double bed, 2 comfortable lounge chairs, kitchen-diner fully equipped for most needs, including high-quality NEFF appliances (oven, fridge, dishwasher), modern shower room with heated flooring and wall mounted heating throughout. A steam iron and Ironing board and a hair drier are provided inside the property. The private patio area offers outdoor dining space and uninterrupted southern views of the rolling countryside. Dogs are not permitted. Guest access No access to the Main house or the gardens, pond or Duck House is permitted. Parking as indicated at the side of the stables. Outer stable buildings are in constant use for farming purposes. Other things to note We currently have two horses and two young foals in the field next to the accommodation. Guests have the opportunity to see them close up and watch them play. We cannot permit dogs due to the horses and sheep and cattle in the nearby fields. Enjoy the convenance of being within 10-minute walk to the village with a convenience store, family run butcher a couple of pubs and a very popular fish and chip/pizza take away. There is a local bus service giving access to the borders and to Edinburgh. Tweedbank railway station is 10 mins away by car giving you access to the centre of Edinburgh. A 5-minute walk from the property will link visitors up with the well-known Earslton Circular walk. Within the Borders throughout the year there are plenty of events at Floors Castle, Kelso; Springwood Showground (Borders Art Fair Border Union Show, Ram Sale). Melrose Book Festival, Edinburgh Festival. As well as the Common Rideouts throughout the summer. If you wish we can accommodate up to two horses in our paddock, at additional cost. Glentress Mountain Bike Trail in Peebles is 40 minutes away. Details of events will be provided for your stay. There plenty of activities throughout the year for you to enjoy.
